After vanquishing the bandit presence and reclaiming a small fortune worth of gold, the Black Brigade set off temporarily in different paths.
With the threat vanquished, Xirdneh made haste to the abandoned bandit camp. To his dismay, there wasn't much there in the way of pure treasure. However, he did find dozens of items that might be useful to him in combat.
There were multiple weapons, but the only one suited for a Warrior was the Longsword. He grabbed it and tucked it away. Next he found two items that expanded his inventory: a backpack and a potion belt. For now, the Longsword entered his main inventory because he only has 1 weapon slot.
He noticed a basic helm nearby, which would help protect his head from enemy strikes by increasing his armor by 1.
"Whew," he said, "nice loot, plus that 100 gold I got earlier, I should be set for awhile!

Jack the Knife returned to the Nogfolk village, bringing along the Mage Lewendor. They were greeted with great applause.
Jack the Knife introduced Lewendor to spot, the Nog he had rescued after being caught in a trap. Spot shook his hand,
"Welcome to our village." he said. "Jack, the reason I wanted you to come back, besides thanking you again, has to do with our collective consciousness, an ability we posses to transmit images to most of our species."
"We are an ugly folk, there's no doubt about that. Unfortunately many just assume that what is grotesque is also evil, as you see is not the case with us at all. Therefore, despite the fact that we are a friendly people, we sometimes have to take preemptive strikes against those that draw near to our villages. We know that they may be hostile towards us just because of our appearance."
"When I transmit your image, many of my people will process it internally. Then, they will know that you mean us no harm. It's our way of handling other peoples... we have a reputation system."
Drawing in a deep breath, Spot concentrated on Jack the Knife's face, and then on Lewendor.
Under "special information," Jack the Knife gained:
"Welcome among the Nog: Nogfolk will never attack this character."
Under "special information," Lewendor gained:
"Recognized by the Nog: Nogfolk less likely to attack this character."
"Oh, and one more thing," Spot added, "if you are looking for work, talk to our chieftain, Scout. He has something lined up."
[Jack has gained access to a team quest. Since most quests are team duels, team quests are highly useful. They provide a way for the entire team to gain experience and valuables outside of team combat.]
