swizzle66: I totally forgot. i am leaving for the weekend to visit my family. (4th of July and all). I will be back on Monday. You don't have to wait for me, if you don't want to. You can either take me out of the game or let Fexen take over. i trust he can handle it, if he is so inclined. Sorry. I spaced.
No problem. Maybe we can start on Monday, that's fine by me. Everyone else?
Mondays fine by me.

Enjoy your visit Swizzle!
Monday's cool.
Great.

Can you guys get in touch with your new teammates and check in on them, see if they have any questions? I believe playing will be the best way to learn, but it could help.

This game and the other game are building the story to a specific point, where all the teams will have more interaction so hang on tight!
Starting tomorrow, so I'm asking everyone to get in touch with their team members. I will post the updated character sheets tomorrow before we start. Also, if there are any last minute questions, please ask.
Is Skill Vacuum a one time (per location) use?
Or can someone move back onto it for another use??

Everything on the battlefield provides a continuous use. That is to say, it will always do what it does for the entirety of the match.

Skill vacuums could potentially drain every player of every skill/spell they have (though that would take, what, 50 turns?)

Just note that once you step on a square like a skill vacuum, in order to reuse it you must first step off it, then step back onto it again (in other words, camping there will do you no good).

The same is true of every other square: camping at one square will do you no good. You must move off of them then move back onto them to use their ability.

The only exceptions to this rule are the squares that provide coins. In these cases, you do NOT need to step off and then back on to them. Instead, you definitely want to camp there as long as possible.
And there are limits to the number of coins that will drop?

Can you post our positions on the map? That way we can plan our moves ahead, to be ready when the game begins.

Could we use a multi move skill to move off & back on in the same turn?
Or would this count as just staying there?

For the non-coin squares, this would work. All they require to function is that you "move onto" them.

For the coin squares, it states that you must "end a turn" there to have a chance to receive the coin.

Quoting the relevant part from the front page:

In total, there are seven coins to be distributed. Your team can win by getting the majority (4/7) of coins, or, by conventional means: having the last character standing. If you win by having the last character standing, then your team gains all the remaining coins.

Once the game ends, the winning team will be given an extra, 8th coin. Then, each team will be able to try their luck on the (rather unusual) slot machines. Details to follow.

I will post your positions on the map soon, yes.

Since tomorrow is Independence day in the U.S. let's start on Tuesday instead. This will give me some time tomorrow to post the location on the map, character sheets, etc. plus give you some time to plot a move.
Map with starting locations added here and to the original post.

To increase the likelihood of a coin victory, chance to catch one in "?" spaces increased to 40% Chance to catch one in "!" spaces increased to 10%.

Remember: your team is victorious if you catch 4/7 coins, or if the other team is defeated conventionally.

In the background, standing before the other members was a man wearing the Mark of the Wanderers. He also held the Captains Mark, watching over his team as they fought. His words would ring out for his companions to hear.

"Heroitus, Elk. Take these fools down my brothers." Exile would yell, throwing his arm up, raising the banner of the Wanderers.

Edit: The Banner and Picture of Exile. Warning: Banner may be changed on choice of Team Wanderer
