I have bought Dungeon Keeper and i cant play it. Because it is lagging as hell in this shitty DOS Box.

I mean came on! I thought u can do more then just install a DOS Box.

And one week after i bought this game i only get 3 answers from your support team:
- Please try the general troubleshooting steps - wtf i already wrote that i tried that...
- Please try pressing Alt + r after starting a mission - ok not so bad but not i already tried this..
- Are you using your own installation of DOSBox or the one provided with
the game? Does the problem occur in windowed mode as well? - Sure i use your Dos Box version - i just start the shortcut - And if you had readed my ticket i already wrote that i tried the window mode...

I dont get it why u using Dos for 3D Games..
Dos sucks for 3D engine..

This made my day ....
Apparently they predicted you nerd raging here in the forums with a throw-away forum name. Go dig up an unofficial patch or tweak your settings and let the staff go.... do something else for now.
As someone that is sometimes on the supporting side of these things (in a totally different company), I can tell you with relatively high confidence that they are trying to fix your problem, and that it does matter to them. Remotely fixing bugs is one of the hardest tasks you can get, it always annoys me when I get a customer complaining that the developers are twiddling their thumbs, as I'm well aware that where I work, if there's a high priority issue we're trying to work out from the customer's detailed explanation of "I got an error", what went wrong.

Put yourself in their position, you've told them that it's slow. What do they do with that information? Tell the game to run faster? Tell you not to run it in "Slow mode"? They have no useful information as to why it's slow, so they have begun with the obvious step of clearly identifying what steps you have taken to remedy this. When doing this you need to ask questions the customer appears to have answered already, just to confirm it. GOG's support has been criticised for its response times, and general issue tracking process, but when they're helping you they're pretty good. Just work with them.

There's a thread in the DK forums that may help you to read through. http://www.gog.com/en/forum/dungeon_keeper_series/how_to_fix_choppy_sound . It's not directly about performance, but you could try it.

You made one very valid point, sir. DOS doesn't do very well on 3D games. As soon as I can get a few jigawatts of energy ready, I'll go back and tell the developers.

I completely agree. So here are two options:

Go back in time and buy computer parts from the mid 90s. Build your very own 1990s gaming rig, complete with 500 MB hard drive, a sound card made from cardboard and toothpicks, and a computer monitor that is so massive they used to drop them on terrorist suspects in CIA rendition camps. Don't ever go through the trouble of paying upwards of $10 for games that frankly, haven't been supported aside from third party developers who build emulators like DOSbox.

Or two, you could fucking walk off a bridge and kill yourself because nobody gives a fucking damn about your fucking problems and your lack of any grace when it comes to asking for help, as opposed to bitching about DOSbox not running properly on your shitty computer.
You can Press Ctrl+F12 in-game to increase DosBox cycles (count shows in upper right of window), which will sometimes fix slowdown issues. I had the same problem in GOG's DK and this fixed it. Hope that helps.
Don't worry OP, I would be angry too if I had such a shitty name like yours

Or three, dont pay for a product thats just dont work.

I mean its not about the 5€. But im realy dissapointed from GOG if they only install a DOS Box.

So evrything i want to say here is: Im turning my back on GOG.

It doesn't work for you. In bold letters because that actually matters. So what if one, two, or even ten people can't get a DOS game working that they've bought off here because DOSBox doesn't work? It works for the majority, and that's what matters. Either tinker with the settings yourself, or send a support ticket, but don't bitch about it like some little girl.

We'll miss you.

But seriously, how do you expect GOG to run a DOS game on a not-DOS system. Magic?
I think you shall actually try to go to Dosbox main site to see how well this game runs on Dosbox. If you problem is a comman one, you are also likely to get some hints on how to fix it up.

Try and run the game without DOSBox - good luck with that

No. With imagination.
Ok i had a little bit overreacted.

But i tried to run this game for weeks and the support team only tell me to do the general troubleshooting steps.

This was the last straw that breaks the camel's back.
