Or we could go to Amsterdam and all smoke pot and do mushrooms.

They've banned the mushrooms.
It fucked some people up, both foreign tourists and locals.
A local guy butchered his dog and a young French girl jumped from something and died.
They're also trying to do something about the pot.
It's never been a problem, but now 2 of the 3 government parties are Christian parties.
As for Ireland, it's a great country.
Beautiful country and nice and friendly people.
Downside is the beers, but luckily they some great whiskys to compensate that.

Local politicians aren't in favour of such regulations.
Especially the ones concerning coffeeshops as some of the best which actually live up to certain rules have to close for being within 250 meters of a school.
Most famous example of this is The Bulldog.
They're reevaluating that rule if I'm correct.
Coffeeshops is basically a local policy.
Every municipal can decide to allow them or not and can restrict the numbers and such.
It's all very strange greyish when viewing it in a juridical way.
I would go if I was loaded, but I'm totally not.
Just make a thread next summer and let me know how it goes. Take pictures. :)

During summer 2010 I might be on the old continent and since I have never been to Ireland or seen Riverdance (which I really like), for now, count me in.

Hell, you come over to Hong Kong!
Why something remote as Ireland if you want to have people from Europe visiting the place.

interesting.
Amsterdam could be a great place. you know... so we could go to "museums" and "art galleries".
why not have a European one and an American (including South America) one?
