michaelleung: You and your cheapass flights on Ryanair...

Hell yeah, all the way in the cargo bay for £15.
No seriously, a Ryan Air flight to Lithuania cost that much - crazy.

I suggest that we meetup during Summer 2010, have a real-life meeting!
And I also suggest that we meetup in Ireland because it's a nice place with a good language and it might give me a chance to see Riverdance (video is relevant).
Price on Riverdance (2009) is €37.50 - €55.00 according to their website.
I think we should plan up something :D
EDIT: TheJoe promised to strip nude and slap you with a back garden if you pay for his ticket.

Sounds bad-ass! I'll try and make it, it's not THAT far from Leeds.
I like the idea of setting up central meeting places for the various continents, it would save quite a bit in travel expenses and I doubt I'd be able to get away long enough to leave the country.

yeah. cheap flights rule. Some englishmen came to my city only to get wasted few years ago. cause with plane ticket it was much cheaper than drinking in local English Pub.
Amsterdam would be great for me!
Not too far,
i even can take a car!

you forgot about the tunnel!
I endorse this idea as I am living in Ireland and I am very lazy. However I would also have to pass on Riverdance. I saw it and I cannot unsee what I have seen.

Yeah... there's something about Riverdance that's just... not cool.

Well I'm not complaining about your PANTS either.
Surely there's something people who don't want to watch Riverdance can do while people who want to watch Riverdance does that?

I always wear pants.
Anyway, we really need to get a plan going if you're doing this for real or something.
Is there a general consensus for Ireland or Amsterdam?
I'm not coming if Weclock is drunk, naked and wearing that gas mask.

Smart move...
I'd probably be up for a meetup by then, most anywhere in northern Europe is fine, anywhere else is less fine. Activity is not really important, though there are boundaries.
Ireland sounds fine as it's pretty damn close, Amsterdam sounds even better. 2010? Hmm, I'm graduating so hell yeah, should have cash and time as long as it would be August onwards :D. Gog meetup, drink! Driiiiiiiink!
How is everyone feeling about this topic two months on since it was last discussed?
Personally I think still a great idea, but who wants to organise it? :D Also why not make it a pilgrimage to the GOG offices.
