When I was in Finland the following happened.
We were sitting in a Sauna, and the finnish people i were with had a traditional competition sort of thing going.
You absolutely had to run outside and throw your body into a little hole in the ice of course, that was mandatory.
Extra points were gained for running a few hundred meters around a nearby church (!) and back before dipping into the icy waters.
Further extra points were gained for running past the church, to the bus stop, take the bus one stop further down, wait for return bus to come and take it back, then run back past the church again and finally take the horror dip in near-zero temperature water.
All while naked of course.
And the girls? Well, apparently they've never heard of shaving their intimates.

Well I've heard of everything up to the run around the church part and I have photographic evidence (which I'm sure as hell NOT posting here before anyone asks) to contradict the last point
