I barely have enough money to get to Chicago which is 3 hours away from here... let alone Ireland.

What about a meet up in a country in Asia? The cost of accomodation, travel and food would be significantly cheaper.

So what's the general opinion on a meet up in Asia? Thailand's a good place, and another place I can think of is Indonesia, Bintan resort - beautiful beaches (no pun intended) too, and good drinking spots

Oh there's been plenty of luck, all of it bad.
I've got a new one to apply for though, something incredibly awesome. Its not in IT and I really doubt I'll get it but the sheer coolness of the job makes submitting an application worth it.
As an indication of its level of cool, I'm actually not allowed to talk about the application! That fact alone narrows the list of possible jobs to a selection so damned small that the secrecy is pretty well elminated but hey, its still awesome.
