gamefood: - Rent video games in a video store at weekend
- Just go to friends homes to hang out together - not call, send sms, mail before (especially in east-germany & former UDSSR states was that the case I'd say, as there were mainly no private phones)

- "Das lustige Taschenbuch", don't know what it was called in other languages; that were monthly little comic-books with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and so on
I used to get SNES cartridges rented on saturdays, also......Bugs Bunny, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Scrooge McDuck and Mad Duck weekly magazines which I used to read by the tons.....and...."Der Alte" :P

I feel old now. Remembering the like of the original star wars toys getting my x wing with the removable weapons. Watching the likes of the A team and Night Rider and thinking they were so cool.

My friends and I would go to the local video store and find a title we could make fun of while watching. We actually found quite a few B movies we enjoyed watching instead of making fun of. But it was fun doing the MST3K thing before that show was a thing.
