Or you shouldn't preorder if 4$ is too much for you?

keeveek: There are REALLY dudes who pay only 4$ for 4 games?

That all whining "the price is never higher than preorder price" is something I don't understand. You preorder not to get the games the cheapest price possible, you preorder to support developers (no matter who they are) and indie gaming, mostly.
I'm not 'whining' about the price. My main point is I have no incentive to buy something sight unseen. As far as supporting indie developers 'no matter who they are,' sorry, I disagree. Just because someone is an indie developer doesn't mean the game they make is any good. Plenty of crap indie games out there and plenty of crap indie developers.

joek0: I think people trying to save a buck by not preordering is crazy unless money is tight. The point is to pay what you can. They should just raise the minimum price for preorder and live sales to $3.99. I pre ordered it by the way. I always preordered since they started preorders. The extra bounus is always nice.
It's not about saving money, it's simply that there's no reason to pre-order. I don't know what the games are so there's no point in pre-ordering. Them getting their money a few days earlier is not going to make the developer's lives better by any measurable amount.

Again, it's not about the price. There's just no reason for me to pre-order.

EDIT: Metro09 gets it.

Of course, and if you feel like that, do not preorder. I support indie gaming and bundle initiatives, so I preorder. It's simple as that.

You are not forced to preorder, you may buy in "normal" way.

What is the problem?

How is preordering supporting them more? It's not like the launch is a month away. Getting their money a couple of days earlier will not make any realistic difference to them.

There is none, you're inventing one and transposing it on me for the sake of argument.

EDIT: Metro09 gets it.
There's no reason to preorder 99% of the games. But people do that.

The only reason to buy indie royale preorder is:
1) support the initiative / the devs
2) don't have to worry about "will I have money when it comes out later?" thing.

If none of this reasons describe your thinking, just don't do it. Do not "ask" or "demand" of changing it.

If this preorder system fails, they will change it. And by "fails" i mean "nobody buys it in preorder".

ps. I didn't say preordering supports devs more than regular buying. But ok, let's short this to

"I buy it earlier to not have to give a damn when the bundle goes live, cause i don't have time to check the site every day" etc etc.

keeveek: ...
That's fair enough. Quite often people pre-order because of bonus content or a discount, and they usually have some idea what it is they're pre-ordering. I never told anyone they shouldn't pre-order, I just said that IR might have more success if make the pre-orders more attractive (like perhaps increasing the starting price to $4, meaning that the cheapskates can get the games for the minimum by preordering).
The preorder bonus is digital music album here, so it's not "nothing".

It would be nice if more pre-order bonuses were given (a game, maybe?), but that's not required by me to buy it.

But it would be nice :P

Increasing the starting price might be dangerous, though.

I didn't preorder the Xmas bundle, and if it weren't for the Blackwell trilogy, I may have skipped that bundle entirely. As it is, I paid $10.

So no, I'm never going to preorder these.
Man, now I probably regret buying the bundle.

For 5 euro. Yes, this shop does regional pricing too. This was my last buy. I don't care anymore about them.

Eh?

They allow to preorder at 3.99$ or 3.09 euro

Eh? For me at least, although they charge in £, it's a direct conversion of the $ price. For example, it says the minimum I can preorder for is £2.57, which a quick conversion will tell you is slightly under $3.99.

The first time I bought a bundle from them I clicked the buttons without paying too much attention. Between GOG and Humble Bundles I thought that is was expected to charge one price. It was much later in the bank statement that I noticed the higher price. Sure enough I felt a bit cheated. My fault of course for not paying attention, but left a bitter taste.

Found nothing about it. There wasn't any option on the pre-order page 8(
