AFnord: It was part of the gift pile. And what a shame, I thought it looked interesting enough.
It is a shame. 2D platformers are one of my favorite genres, and I've been spoiled with the awesome selection that has been available this year, but Capsized is just plain disappointing.

In the same price bracket you can find: Trine, Limbo, Aztaka, ARES, Creavatures, Death and the Fly, all of which are 10x better than Capsized.
I'm kind of a little excited for this bundle. But that might be because just about anything could be better than the Christmas bundle. In fact, if it wasn't for the Blackwell Trilogy, I would have regretted preordering it. (Though to be fair, I didn't give The Oil Blue much of a chance. Is it any good?)

Oh, and I'm loving the pre-order bonus CD. It's almost as good as that Disasterpeace CD from The Really Big bundle.
I would buy the new bundle for Capsized over the steaming pile of **** that is Nuclear Dawn :/. My 2 cents worth.

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2379339 -- the OP basically sums up Nuclear Dawn. Multi only altho it can add bots. Community is small and dying.

I actually quite enjoyed the Christmas bundle, I am LOVING The Blackwell games so far, and Dino D Day is pretty fun. Then again, adventure games are my favorite, sounds like there won't be an adventure game in this bundle :(

Same here, I love a good 2d platformer, and it is also one of those genres that should not be too hard to make in the first place. Most indie platformers that I have played have been really fun (the only one that I have played to date that has been bade is Eternity's Child, and that game was a disaster).

Aztaka is by the way getting some new content soon. They plan to release some new free content at the same time as they finish their Mac (or was it Linux) port of the game.

So death and the fly is actually good? It seems really interesting, but I haven't read/heard anything good about it. In fact every single review/comment says that it plain sucks. Its price used to be 19€ which is why with all the bad reviews I gave up on it, but i've just found out that they dropped it to 9.99€.

Also if you want, would you elaborate a little on why capsized is bad? I haven't tried it yet but it's on my "to buy someday" list.
btw there's also beep and tommy tronic, they're both on desura and steam. not sure if the undergarden and doc clock are on desura.

and holy smoke, why the hell did i not know about OIO? it seems like such an awesome game.

p.s. OT but since platformers are mentioned http://www.jollycorpse.com/wnk-preview-download/ the music ;_;

I simply didn't get into it. From the moment I started playing, I didn't like the physics or the artistic style, which are the two main elements that make up a 2d platformer. It also seemed highly unoriginal.

Death and the Fly wouldn't be at the top of my recommended modern 2D platformers list, but I certainly preferred it over Capsized. I think I paid a few dollars for it in the sale, and it was certainly worth at least that much.
It's up.

Nuclear Dawn
Max & The Magic Marker
Fractal
Super Crossfire
Ok so the Nuclear Dawn is somethin' we figured out a while ago.

Any comments on the other games? I admit I am not 100% convinced yet.
bought it max & marker looks nice but from what i have seen its an iphone game. fractal is stuff i will probably play once and then decide. super crossfire looks like another space invaders extreme clone so it should be ok.
I'm moderately pleased at first glance, but I haven't played any of them yet. Working on a review soonishly, actually.
This doesn't look very appealing for people who've already got Nuclear Dawn. Pass.
I've wanted Fractal and Max for a while, so I'm happy about this. :D
Haven't bought a Royale bundle yet and won't be doing so either this time. Only one I'm marginally interested in is Nuclear Dawn and I don't feel like paying $4 for a semi-dead and flawed multi-player only FPS.

My thoughts exactly. I would be interested if there was a single-player component.
