It's not my birthday either ;-p

Thanks for the un-birthday GA but I'm not in ;-D

Well it might not be from my country but we love this recipe - roast some new potatoes with sea salt, olive oil and fresh rosemary as a side dish and add a green of your choice to make a perfect meal for company ;-)

Happy normal, non-birthday day!

I've been playing The Cat Lady, the tale of a sad undead woman who returns to the land of the living to slaughter deranged serial killers and find herself.

Since I'm Canadian, all I can post is poutine (that's all we have to eat up here)

Thanks for the giveaway!

Mmmm, yeah, that's the stuff.
+1 I'm in and thank you. :)

Been playing phantasmagoria 2. Typical sierra point and click adventure but with a horror/sci fi twist. A very underrated game especially compared to the first one. I think it stands pretty well none the less. The music is an especially high point of the game also.
Nice giveaway ;)

I'll summary the good and bad things about the longest journey to wrap things up :p

Good:
-EPIC story
-EPC characters and voice overs.
-Great writing with the writer creating a totally new setting and world that gets you engaged from the beginning till the end
-Strong and funny female character that is and will be unforgettable
-challenging puzzles
-Quite lengthy for a point and clicker

Bad;
puzzles don't make sense most of the time

Picture of some food I like: see attached :p

Thanks for the giveaway.

Sadly the latest game I have been playing isn't a GOG, but the first entry in its series is so I hope that counts ;)

It is Assassin's Creed IV, and the main thing I can say about it is that it fixes every single complaint i had about III. Not only that but it oozes atmosphere and makes me actually want to experience an old-time brig or frigate!
What a coincidence, not mine too!

Now look at this:

God, I love those things... ;p
I am playing Spuds Quest at the moment.

It's a really nice game with a big resemblance to the old Dizzy games.
The game has alot of red herring items that can really throw the player off, and with the many hidden blocks in the temples it can be a bit hard at times.
Still it is very enjoyable and it would be a very nice game to get on GOG.

Happy Non-Birthday! :p

Not in, but thanks.

I will probably post some pics of Slovak food later. ;)
I've been playing Anvil of Dawn for a kind of ridiculously long time, but that's how I like it, so that's how I do it.

Anvil of Dawn is an old-tech dungeon crawler, which parlays a limited palette of colors into a pretty rigorous landscape. The controls are so clunky you can practically hear them clomping through dungeons, and the sprite monsters, all of whom have only front-side graphics, come looming up, animate for a couple of moments, make a cheesy sound effect, and then strike. Does that sound fun? Because it totally is.

I wish I didn't have to play in short, staccato sessions, but I've been really busy out in the world, so gaming at the moment is relegated to mornings before I head out or nights before I turn in, with occasional lazy afternoons exploring here and there.

The old tech has an interesting downside: you can't really explore in these games. There are secrets, which you find by working your way around the maps - and the automap in this game is excellent, which helps - but the engine is not flexible enough to accommodate discovery and subtlety. Instead the puzzles are obstacles, or irritating portals that pop you here and there and are sometimes just too confusing to be fun.

Great idea for a giveaway! Have a great day.

I have just started Outcast and I must say so far I am impressed. I usually play point and click adventures but saw this in a list of the best classic adventures and bought it on GOG. It will take some getting used to but I am looking forward to getting into the game.
Since I lent half my RAM to a friend for troubleshooting purposes, I haven't been able to play Euro Truck Simulator 2. Instead, I've been playing Just Cause 2 in short bursts. It's fun enough - a bit repetitive, I suppose, but that's not a big deal because I only play it for like thirty minutes every other day anyway. The world isn't as detailed as that of GTA games (if you've played San Andreas, have you stumbled upon the pickup truck and the body bags in the desert? Well, no such things in Just Cause 2), but fucking hell it's enormous. I've even enjoyed just driving around aimlessly to see where I end up in half an hour.

I actually think that I may be onto a 100% completion run here. That scares me a bit.

To top things off, here's a salad dressing recipe as well.
You need:
- a red bell pepper
- an onion
- two to four garlic cloves
- five tablespoons of sugar
- three tablespoons of mustard (mild, or at least not too hot)
- three decilitres of cooking oil. I prefer rapeseed; olive oil is alright but it alters the taste somewhat. Other oils may or may not work.
- 0.75 decilitres of apple cider vinegar
- about 70 grams of tomato purée
- half a teaspoon of pepper
- a tablespoon of basilica
- a tablespoon of salt

Chop up the big stuff, throw all of the above into a blender (preferably not all at once, though) and, well, blend. The original purpose for this stuff was to liven up salads, but I throw it on rice, macaroni and pretty much everything else whenever I can be bothered to make some. The recipe above produces around 0.75 litres of the stuff, I think. No idea how long it stays edible, but guessing from the ingredients, I suppose two weeks is about right.

+1, in, thanks and so forth.

You're super for typing out the recipe, but just pictures are fine, for future reference :] Thanks for an awesome entry.
I'm in.

Been playing Spelunky (or rather trying to). Cool platformer but very hard, not for the faint of heart. Oh so many ways to die. The pain, the pain. Finally make it to the 3rd room and its dark! I think a grue ate me! This game makes FTL seem very easy. So far, taking it in small doses. Did I mention the pain? Ouch, dead again...
