Mini review of lone survivor (already posted on the gog page but it still valid right?

Lone survivor is a pure old school survival horror in 2D, graphics are awesome and the atmosphere is just amazing,
Foggy, very dark and creepy plus bizarre = pure win :)
The good:
*no unlimited ammo and just a handgun to use, you need to hide from enemies, and you can lure them with meat or use a flare to avoid them
*Everything you do change your ending, from killing the enemies to help npc or abuse the pills
*no unlimited or auto-regen health, you need food for health and you need to eat too periodically, you need to cook some of the food too.
*Great music.
*6 endings so there is a lot of reply value.(2 more for the director cut version!)
*Very scary and dark game with a great story too
*your home servers as a base were you need to save and sleep there, cook your food etc, and the mirror in your house servers a quick travel system.
The bad:
*a little bit short (6-5 hours) but with a lot of reply value !!!
*the map is a little bit confusing
Lone survivor is a very complex and deep game, a must play for any fan of survival horror!

Thanks a lot +rep
Thanks for the giveway! I have been playing Unepic and I must say I am very pleased with this game. It is very amusing, has good humor and likable characters. Also, it is challenging but not impossible. Finally the game is long but does not feel repetitive.

Thanks, cmdr_flashheart for the neat and generous giveaway! +1 on your way to three stars.

Papers, Please I've been playing right after I joined GOG. I'd say to me it was more of an experience I'm glad I had the opportunity to look into than a title I'll remember for the gameplay fun that was to be had. The mechanics are well done though and there is the interesting, subjective sense of realism working the check point at the border.

Despite there being several endings, after I managed to reach a partial "good" finish, I didn't go back for all the replay value that's undoubtedly included in Papers, Please. While it offered the opportunity to confront myself with the difficult moral/ethical issues the game's topic entails, all of this comes with a glum, heavy-hearted (but realistic-seeming) mood that I could only subject myself to for so long. Worth playing, a recommendation - also for the tight visual style and strong theme song.

Hm, gonna stick that into the review section now too while I'm at it... :)

Congratulations for your not birthday..what a coincidence it's not my birthday too.

Review...ohh my better not.
Food? I am on a diet for the next summer collection of pink tutus.
Only one solution: Not in!
I'm in.

I've recently found the Thief series, and I'm enjoying it alot. I often play as thief characters in games like the Elder
Scrolls so this was right up my alley. Thief is a first person stealth game in which you go on missions to steal various objects. You have to avoid walking on certain surfaces to make as little sound as possible, stay in the shadows, and take out certain guards/servents quietly to avoid detection. There are a ton of different arrows to aid your stealthing (most useful being water arrows that can be used on torches to create more dark areas to hide in).

In conclusion, along with the great gameplay, the story, characters, and atmosphere are also great. While, the graphics are dated, I don't feel it hinders the game (though I don't really judge games based on graphics). I would recommend to anyone who enjoys stealth games.
ok since i didnt get to play much lately as my gf is sick and ive just administered her into the hospital ill post a pic and description of some food from the region i come from

its beef rollen up with bacon, cucumbers, onions and mustard cooked for a couple hours in the sauce its gonna get served with together with red cabbage and potatoes kinda mashed then rolled to balls and cooked in water for about 20 minutes.

I usually make that as christmas dinner for my girlfriend and me with some extra cinnamon and orange in the red cabbage, all in all takes a good 4 to 5 hours till its ready to serve.

Hey I'm part German. While I will eat something not in an animal casing, I for sure prefer the animal casing. :D
Happy Normal Day!

I am playing Trine right now, picked it up for $0.99 on sale a couple of weeks ago. The game is great. I don't have a lot of time to sit down and devot to games right now so this is perfect for me. The visuals are rich with color and the gameplay is fairly simple and intuitive, yet the challenges are varied and difficult enough to keep you engaged. You have three characters you can switch between, a wizard, a knight, and a thief. They each have different abilities that aid you in your quest to overcome the awesome obstacle courses which are each level.

The is a light story that accompanies the game, to give the levels context and the characters personality. It seems that the undead are conquering a kingdom in disarry and our heros are attempting to find the ancient artifacts that can restore order. They are also seeking these artifacts because they have been unwillingly joined together with a Trine. This artifact has bound our heros together and is also what allows you, the player, to switch inbetween them. When a character is not being used it is stored in the "Trine."

It is a fun game. Easy to pick up and with lots of natural stopping places, easier to put down than many other games. However, when you are not playing it you will be thinking about it!

i love meat and cant live without it :D
As long as your birthday is within six months of today, then you're allowed to create a giveaway.

Anyway, I've been playing a lot of Spelunky. Haiku review:

Spikes, snakes, spooky ghosts,
Quick restart, die again (and again).
Bats, bombs, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees is pronounced with three syllables, BTW.
A very merry unbirthday to you! And it's my unbirthday too!

Right now I'm playing FlatOut 2. It's a very impressive racing game. The game is a sequel to the original FlatOut and pretty much everything has been improved! You can race through cities, forests, even through construction yards! Plus you can race in demolition derbies!

How about some pizza?

They might look a little strange to anyone who hasn't had curly fries, but if you are like me, just thinking about them will make you hungry!
