Fight your way through time or you’re history!

Play a fantastic action-adventure title with a unforgettable plot with today's release of [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/time_commando]Time Commando for only $5.99! An advanced virus has infiltrated a top secret military research facility's supercomputer. The computer can simulate any combat from any period throughout history, but it's such a powerful computer that the virus has created a vortex that threatens to tear a hole in the very fabric of time. Your job is to suit up, travel through time, and prevent the virus from destroying the universe. A good antivirus program could have prevented this threat to the universe, but now that the virus is assaulting the fabric of reality, it has all come down to you.

You are Stanley Opar, a member of S.A.V.E (Special Action for Virus Elimination), an organization that was created to clear the system of the virus. You must travel through many of the historical eras that the supercomputer simulates while using a wide array of weapons (from stones to samurai swords, slings to laser rifles, and a killer yo-yo) to fight through time and collect data bits scattered over the various worlds to repair the damage done.

Time Commando is an action adventure with a little bit of puzzles here and there. Graphically the game was very advanced for the 1990s with beautifully rendered 2D backgrounds coupled with the vivid 3D animated characters. The control scheme takes the best elements out of the Alone in the Dark series and improves upon them.

Grab yourself some action-adventure brawling action for only $5.99!

That bad?
Has the game got more in common with Little Big Adventure then the publisher?
Hmm interesting, I've never heard about this game.
Never heard of this one and dosent really appeal to me so will pass it by thanks.
Another vote for never having heard of it. A shame nobody else has as it's difficult to know if it's any good.

I will get this one since is from the creators of Little Big Adventure !
It goes to the wishlist. This game always looked interesting but not enough to be day one purchase with my backlog and limited funds after the holidays.

I kind of expected a little more to kick the year off but this is good for my wallet. XD

Yeah the marketing wasn't great. They had this ad on various magazines, including Computer Gaming World and Electronic Gaming Monthly, which showed that same box cover, and a bunch of screenshots boasting that you could travel across various time periods like Feudal Japan to whup some ass. It's too bad it never got much attention.

Funny thing is, I don't recall the ad ever mentioning the story, so while it did get my interest to buy the game for the Saturn, I think my interest eventually died down.

A great game, which would have been an instabuy for me a month ago.

But, for the love of GOG redo the artwork. I don't think that was in the original (I own the boxed version), and it doesn't do this (sometimes rather gritty) game justice. please just take the original cover.
I think I remember this game. If I remember right, I played with the demo version of this game many years ago (from a demo collection CD). I might buy it in the near future.

The only reason I knew about it was from Game Informer back before/or when the game released. I thought it was only for the Playstation then and didn't have one at the time.

Well at least someone remembers... the advert for it. That's a start. :P

Different regions sometimes get different cover art. Sometimes some regions get terrible artwork in the belief that it will appeal more to that region. Take a look at the US cover of Amnesia to see how bad it can get.
