Say hello to XIII - probably the most unique FPS of all time. Definitely one of the best. Discover it, play it and perhaps shed a tear at the lack of a sequel.

XIII is a first-person shooter based on the first five volumes of a popular Belgian comic book series. You're put in the shoes of XIII, badly wounded and with no recollection of your past. The American president has been assassinated and all of a sudden everyone's out to get you. Are you the assassin? Were you framed? Whoever you are, you must be damn important and you won't let anyone stop you from reclaiming your identity.
What makes XIII special is its comic book-style design. The characters and weapons are cel-shaded, outlines and all, and there's a whole bunch of stylish features, like visualized sound effects. Imagine shooting a gun and seeing "BLAM!" right next to the muzzle flash. Just how cool is that?
Finally, a great, involving storyline, a perfect musical score, and top-notch voice acting by such actors as David Duchovny and Adam West make XIII an absolutely epic game.
Heard nothing but good things about this game might buy it in the near future. Thanks GOG keep up the good work.
Holy crap! This one of those titles that I have been waiting for since day 1! Insta-buy for me!
This may be worth it to re-purchase just so I don't have to find all 16,000 of the game discs.
Going to wishlist this one. Looks interesting but i have a stack of games to get through right now.

That's the result of your country being a colony of another for centuries. America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and pretty much anywhere in the world that was an English colony speaks English.#Q&_^Q&Q#LINK:57#Q&_^Q&Q#

And it is official?
Been trying to beat this CD copy I've had for a while. It's fun and has some cool mechanics, but the checkpoint system drives me crazy.
Hmm, I think I'll download the demo tonight and see how well it runs on my crappy laptop. If the results are good, I'll buy it.
Oh, gosh! One of my favourite FPSes of all time. Instant buy. The lack of a sequel is a crime against game industry.
Now I wonder if the graphic novels are available in English... Time to jump Wikipedia.
Well, I have the original CD here in my Game-shelf...don't know if it`s running on my win7-system...but on my xp-system it should be doing fine.

...so what...for that price - I will buy it!
I've always been curious about this game, but it's pretty hard to find around here.

Wishlisted =)

Yes, they are available in English, but they can be hard to find these days and most of the US versions are edited in some way.

Hoho. Quick search lead to some interesting results. Initially they were started to be released in US censored, but in 2007 the first three volumes were released uncensored. However US doesn't seem to be continuing publications.
On the other hand the graphic novels are being published in UK. They are already at the sixth volume and the seventh is slated soon.

There also exist unofficial English scanlations of the full series, but please support the official releases where they are available. The full series is available in German (by Carlsen Comics), lucky for me.

Censored? What the hell is there to censor about XIII?
There isn't much graphic violence in it (much less than in the game obviously) nor is there much sex IIRC.
You might see some nakedness in it but only in the later volumes I think.
I got this game on ps2 a few years back for 1.99 used at gamestop and I could tell it was not meant to be played on that platform. It looked like an interesting goldeneye-like shooter, putting it on the wishlist for now.
