I believe in rehabilitation, too, but WTF Norway? Sounds like this dude has it pretty easy. Poor baby murdered 77 people and now he only gets to play PS2 games? Cry me a river.

I frikkin love Norway.
The dude is jailed in 3rooms "cell", gets 50dollars a week and has a PS2. If i ever decide a career in crime, i'm definitely moving to Norway.
They're supposedly very nice even to the law abiding people over there so it must be a cool country even though i haven't been there yet.
There's rehabilitation... and then there's that guy. What's the short of it, why is he doing a hunger strike when he has it better than the majority of prisoners in the world that committed "crimes" that usually don't really qualify as violent?
The demand to have his PS2 replaced proves he has no taste.

The guy has it better than free, law abiding citizens of some of the world's countries, he doesn't even have to work over there to get his 50bucks a week.
I don't see the problem. Seems like a win-win situation to me...
39 lashes with the controller cord!
So, does Norway have no homeless and no unemployed people?

I don't understand why someone in jail should have it better off then unemployed, homeless, straving people.

Here in USA, he would be on death row for killing 77 people.

You say "death row" as if they don't feed people there.
Just give him a PC that only has access to Origin and UPlay, see how quickly he threatens to go on another hunger strike to get his stupid PS2 back.

Well yeah, not a death penalty person myself but when you kill 77 people, it's hard to really feel sorry if someone just kills him right back.

Having cost the US more money during his trial alone than Breivik will cost Norway during his trial and an entire lifetime of imprisonment combined. Don't you think that money would be better spent on, say, the unemployed, the homeless, or the starving?

Right !! And since they are isolated, they don't have to worry about those unwanted assaults. They can spend their time watching TV and working on dozens of appeals. It's many years before they need to think about death.

I vote to let 'em starve. At this point, there isn't such a thing has rehabilitation.
