KneeTheCap: Why can't it be Fahrenheit....why....?
Well Fahrenheit is already available DRM-free on another shop so either it's the last Atari game or it will appear here sooner or later.

Dragobr: I'm still hoping the last one is Silver.

Delixe: Colours don't look right. Silver only had Red at the bottom whereas this one has Red above and below the Blue. Link
Actually, the color at the top doesn't seem like a red. Might be the color of the writing.
So, "feel like a hero" is Demonstone after all. I have no idea where they grabbed the clue art from before they blurred it (I'm not even sure which art they blurred), but it's clear that we should be going by the word clue instead of the box art. Colors and patterns and such aren't useful if they can use any old picture they feel like.

That being the case, which Atari game do you think best fits with "fear your past?"

INDIGO PROPHECY

You lead an ordinary life. You have friends, a job and an everyday routine. Then, one day, it all ends. You find yourself standing over a dead body with a bloody knife in your hand. You have no idea who the victim is but one thing is certain — you've killed him.
Without any recollection or reason, you can only guess at what possessed you to do this. But possession is exactly what it is. Unknown to you is that forces of an ancient prophecy are at work, with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. As you keep one step ahead of the cops, discover what lies beneath these supernatural events... and uncover their connection to an inexplicable crime wave sweeping the city.
Experience truly innovative gameplay where every decision, from interrogation questions to physical movement, affects the entire drama. Assume multiple roles to create the action — and suffer the consequences — of this unfolding ever-changing mystery. No two story paths are ever the same in this endlessly replayable adventure that recalls the most thrilling supernatural mystery movies.
that sounds about right for "fear your past."

Umm... I don't see anything in there about "your past," although "ancient prophecy" is definitely somewhere in the past. But where does the "fear" part come in as it relates to your past?

Then again, what are the other alternatives? And also, seeing as how this is GOG we're talking about, there may be something lost in translation. I'm not sure Demonstone qualifies as making you "feel like a hero," for example....

*Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy SPOILERS*

Well, there *is* something about the protagonists' past. However, if I remember correctly, there's nothing to fear about it, and though it is related to the game's events, the character's participation is really a coincidence in the end. In fact, you're only able to solve everything because of it, so I don't this game really fits "fear your past". If it ends up being it, I will consider it a big mistake on GOG's part.
[Edit: What the heck post was I quoting and/or responding to???]

the "fear of your past" is because the whole game's ignition point is that you've killed someone and don't remember why you did it, or even the actual act of doing it.

you just wake up with no clue as to what happened in the immediate past to turn you into a murder, so as much as you NEED to know your also terrified to know.

But that event is in-game. I'd think "past" means something more distant.

But...but...but it's still his past. That totally counts!

Your despair for Fahrenheit vs my despair for Silver: Fight!
I'd gladly take Silver instead, but I just don't see it lining up.

nothing about Silver was remotely portrayed as being "fearful."

the only "fear from the past" I can see relating to that game is the fear of it's somewhat painful GFX (even for the time) but GOG already has plenty of titles that make Silver look real damned good.
Yeah, I've been wanting to buy/play Silver ever since it came out for the PC, but I never managed to snag a copy. (

There's a lot of wishful thinking on my part, though. Still, I'll be pretty disappointed if it's Fahrenheit. It's not bad, but there are so many better games out there.

All we have is these two games, and none of them fit with the Fear of the Past hint, but we couldn't find any others. Are we sure it wasn't one of the games already released? Or maybe we didn't look somewhere yet.
The only game I can think of is NWN2, which is too recent (and still pricey ) to appear here.
Too bad I cannot find a way to fit this clue to Doom, Heretic or Hexen :P.
