Remember that during beta time they wipe the saves after every other update or so, apparently making sure the saves are compatible for upcoming updates was too much work (or something like that).

I really want to start playing but it's a beta and with the save wipes I'm kind of bummed to bother, I much rather wait for more content and less bugs.

Looks sweet, I'm trying to get my friends to get teh 4 pack but they say it looks borring... I even offered them money haha but nope... guess I'll wait till... when ever I get the money.

As has been mentioned, if you want it, the best deal seems to be off the dev's site at the moment (price includes soundtrack (its additional if u get it off steam)& steamkey)

Only thing holding me back is definitive info on ship customization. Not really a fan of the current ships or how small they are. I've seen some user made mods though that expand the ships, but at this point I'm still inclined to wait to see what the devs will do.

The game isnt about ships though?.

I like to ride in style.

I was planning on purchasing it through HIB as I thought they would provide a DRM-free version once the game is released but if the devs are too might as well purchase there, as I want the soundtrack, and the 4-pack deal might be possible in my case.

Its been mentioned the beta is steam only, but devs plan to release the final version drm free alongside the steam release. Id get it from the dev.
