Dear GOG Users!
First of all, on behalf of the whole GOG team I'd like to thank you very much for your support and all positive comments we have received in so many posts. This really makes us believe that we do the right thing and gives us even more power and motivation to continue our way of bringing classic games with 100% DRM-free policy.
Second thing is, that if you are happy about what we offer here, please help to spread the word about GOG in other places. We do our best to be visible in as many places as we can, but our efforts have their limits, as there are not as many people working on GOG communication across the web as we'd like (actually two guys, Vandal and me).
Please do not treat it as a request, or something that we expect you to do. No... We just say, help us if you really feel (from deep inside) comfortable with it, and if you think that GOG is worth your help.
Once again, thank you everyone!
And have fun!

Have to post my thanks too...

A friend recommended me to buy Witcher 2 from here instead of Steam, and it really paid off. The whole free coupon deal is something unheard of, and I'd say, a very fair thing to do! I wish more online game stores actually took european customers into account like you do (and it's good promotion for older games as well). Would be nice to have more new games on here in the future as well. Maybe rename a part of the site "Good New Games", although that's probably been suggested already. :P

I don't mind drm so much myself (as I haven't really had much problems with it), but the price fairness is what brought me to the site, and I suppose it's nice to have games that you really "own" for a change, instead of being tied to a steam account or anything. It's great to see such a large availability of old games too, never thought I'd be playing Rayman 2 on PC again. ;) I do most of my own retro gaming by playing console classics on emulators, but looking at the catalogue here, there have been lots of great PC titles that I've missed in the past as well...and the extra bonuses you get all beat any other ways you could get the game.

Just adding a little note here, mentioning how awesome a games store I think you've put up here.
I heard of this place today on Slashdot when they posted some news of you (or at least some parent company or other somesuch entity of you?) patching the DRM out of Witcher 2 and that's just something I can't help not raise my hat to.
And couldn't help buying Witcher 2 now, of course.
And since you gave me some redeem codes for the sake of fair pricing, I decided to grab Witcher 1 as well.
And Outcast.

...can I give you guys a hug? <3
My cousin actually recommended me to GOG.com because of the hassle free DRM and good range of old games except you don't have DOOM or Quake.
I want to congratulate the GOG team with their EA contract!
Especially Dungeon Keeper is one the classics that I really appreciate!.
Keep up the good work and I will be helping spreading the word in Holland!

Man, I tell everyone I talk to, in forums and even for games not included in GOG's catalog, 'cause having a good support system like GoG does is worth being loyal in reciprocation.

I too must speak my thoughts on this wonderful site.

GOG.com has a really positive feeling emitting from their work. It must be the love and care they've done the site with. It is something that gives you a fuzzy, warm sense inside your chest (though, that might also be the child-like enthusiasm for the games and/or the long days and/or nights playing them, but you get the point).

For me personally, it even makes the world is a little better place to exist in. Maybe it's because GOG.com makes it seem that there are still genuinely honest people here in the world, even in the industry today so ridden with business instead of pleasure.

I wish you, GOG.com, all the best in the coming years. Keep up the excellent work!
Just wanted to say, I have been waiting for years for something like GOG to pop up. Keep up the great work and keep the classics alive! :)

The next thing on my wishlist is a legal store for classic game ROMs for NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, etc... Virtual console is good and all, but ROMs are much more portable, I can play them on my computer, Android phone or custom gaming device. And the classic console emulation scene is really solid. Maybe someday, GOG. ;)

That might actually be a good idea. I mean most emulators today support the old consoles completly. So why not include console games in the gog mix?
First a good emulator, if possible FOSS so that it may be included in the pack, and then contact all the companies. I think they would be glad to make a few bucks for games nobody can play anymore.
It might not be so simple to convince the rights-holders, considering the success of Virtual Console on Wii. Games can be sold there in a proprietary, device-locked format successfully. Whereas a ROM is small enough to be e-mailed or thrown up on any filesharing site, bittorrent, etc. Never mind that it ALREADY IS there illegally... :P

I definitely would pay for ROMs even though I know where to get them free, because I believe it's the right thing to do. Maybe I'm an odd duck, but then again, everyone else in the GOG community must be too, since most of these games used to be considered "abandonware."

What can i say, other than that i am really happy GOG exists. There are so many games here that i played when i was a kid and they bring back good memories. Can't wait for more games,i'm sure GOG will grow.

Thanks guys!
NO thank you GOG team for letting me re-live my childhood.

The atmosphere on the site is just brilliant!
And it always brings a smile to my face! Also thanks for the recent Ea additions! :D
I agree with subject153. To be able to play again those games that made my childhood (and without having to worry about compatibility issues) is simply... priceless.
I try to tell my friends about you guys, to give to them the possibility to feel this nostalgic joy you guys made possible.

Indeed, thank you, GOG team.
I have told every one I know about GoG ,com and a couple of them have bought games. I encourage them to spread the word as well. Thank you Gog
