hahaha,

Sorry, just caught up with the GOG forum's recent religious / moral / US consitutional debate. I've got to say, this girl could give GW a run for his money. "It’s almost like making a child get a shot even though they don’t want to,"?? Personally before I shoot kids, I like to make sure they really do want me to do it. It just wouldn't feel right otherwise.

Then after a successful consentual massacre I like to chill out by seeing legal fights against banners in schools as a very negative thing.

"get a shot" in the US means get a vaccination or other injection. You call it "getting a prick" or maybe "getting the prick", I think (which means something totally different over here).

It doesn't mean whipping out your gat and capping someone.

I think you mean capping someone - if they want it.

EDIT: and I just totally didn't see the "a", I have to say it made for much more amusing reading.

Ha ha, language can be confusing, even if you speak the same language. I didn't get the US meaning either but couldn't believe that she was talking about shooting kids as that didn't make any sense either. The quote was obviously used by the journalist to put her in a bad light.
