the freedom they allow us to say whatever we want, funny thing is, I could probably count on one

Ubivis: There is some censoring here... it is mainly a couple of words, that will magically exchanged
with another word, that fits into the context :)
I had no idea. But still it's not only cursing, I remember seeing one thread on Steam highlighting deals in other places, it wasn't even one page long and there was people wondering if/when mods would lock it. Granted I don't know if they ever did and the person was just overreacting but I couldn't help thinking about the two or tree threads about non-GOG deals and gifting that are always on the front page here.

(gotta keep this topic related!) but Zombies are fuckers. I mean, I could overlook the smell
and the moaning and the lurching and even the eating people, but the window and the door
smashing is just too much. Here you go, installing some beautiful new bay windows on your sun
porch, and along comes some zombie shithead smashing it all to hell. Not to mention that this
sort of thing causes propery values to drop and that doesn't help anyone. I hope I havn't upset
or offended anyone here, but I do have very strong feelings regarding this matter and I feel I
need to speak up!

True, they are a bit destructive, but heart it they have feelings too.

On a side note, since when is heart a good substitute for a cuss word or nazis? I think the *** is
sufficient. Or replacing it with random linux/unix commands.

Yeah I know. It's not like it isn't the most overused political insult in the Western
hemisphere, but when people start sporting uniforms with twisted crosses, blast loud
marching music and attack minorities for nefarious purposes you should be allowed to, as we
say in Norway, "to call a spade a spade" (and not a heart).

Yes, but we are all computer game players here I reckon? And in addition to the game mechanics
themselves, an important part of playing computer games for most people is make believe, to
pretend something that is not real. Just imagine how popular a purely abstract shooter or
strategy game really would be.

I remember being offended when I commented about a Crossbow mod for Oblivion on the Bethesda forums. "Cocking the crossbow" had been autocensored into "[censored]ing the Crossbow. I tried to edit the post but "penising" didn't work either. But eventually "roostering" worked.

Censors are filthy creatures. I avoid them whenever I can.

Offensiveness has nothing to do with it. If a word/term is used to flame/troll, then most forums will tend to get rid of it if people refuse to stop using said word/term as such..

use such a word responsibly. FYI, they also censor fanboy, several racial slurs, several
dodgy CD sites, swear words, and abbreviations that could have derogatory meanings. Which is
standard fare for a lot of large forums. I sometimes wonder if people have been spoiled by the
fact that GOG doesn't bother to large extent, yet.
'Femboy' I could understand censoring. But 'fanboy'?
