fronzelneekburm: As a side note on Eastern European bargain bins, I vividly remember a school trip to Prague back in 2004. In terms of video games, the stores were one giant bargain bin, with the selection consisting almost entirely of games that came out in the mid-1990s. I distinctly remember one store selling the original big box German (!) version of "Harvest Of Souls". I also found a factory sealed copy of "System Shock 1" (which is probably worth $100 billion on ebay right now) in one department store. Another game I remember finding was the big boxed version of "The Godfather".. not that one, THAT ONE. Of course, my dumbassed 10-years-younger self didn't bother to bring any money and I'm still agonizing over that to this very day.
Just like I'm regretting to this day throwing away my big box, manual etc. for System Shock 1 (and many other games) and just keeping the CD in a CD wallet.

IAmSinistar: I did find some amazing bands in cassette bargain bins a few times, ones I would not have discovered otherwise in all likelihood. And I do remember obtaining some obscure Amiga games at sales at trade shows. But generally in the US "bargain bin" means "tattier crap than the crap that's on the shelves", which is saying something these days.

You have nicer bargain bins in Poland, it seems. :)
I've never seen a decent games bargain in Russia. However, in the 90s, I dicovered an English textbook store, which, along with the usual collection of various textbooks, dictionaries, tourist guides and books people "want to have read", had an assortment of genre fiction. And since the bookstore was primarily visited by people for whom reading in English was a chore, fiction ended up in the bargain bin at $2 per book (regular price: $15 to $30). Awesomesauce.

The whole of Russia is a bargain bin! And it's full of all the latest games!
Since I got two games for free on this deal due to server error, it's time to buy one to show some support.

I only have money for one, and I could use your help guys, I cannot decide between:

Worms 2 - worms fan, but played it a lot
Worms forts: under siege - worms fan, but never played it
Imperial glory - RTS fan, seems nice, never played it
Praetorians - RTS fan, seems nice, never played it

Looks great sounds great but it's HARD and based around strategy/placement/movement; terrain will kill or save you and the standard RTS "outnumber them and swamp them" will not work here. If you are an RTS fan I would get it (though there is no resource management; think more 'Ground Control' type).

That one was kind of my favorite too, so I will get that one, thank you :D

On that note, I remember back in college when one of the textbooks stores had a sale table where they were selling books by the pound. Basically you just weighed them up like cut meat to determine the price. Picked up some really nice titles that way, even given how heavy some textbooks are.

That sounds..complicated TinyE. I thought you once mentioned a taste for stuff less technically complicated. ;D

This is a good promo, but I've got everything I'd want from it a time ago, which is "Constructor" and "Commandos 2+3".
If anyone's on the fence regarding Normality, I can totally recommend it. I decided to take it for a test drive as I remembered when it came out way back when but I never had the chance to play back when it came out. I am glad I did as it's a really fun and interesting game. The puzzles aren't that hard and this is coming from a person who gets stumped by some adventure games.

I do recommend playing it in a window as Normality being a 3D game really benefits from that :)

I do prefer stuff less complicated. I myself don't play it much but I recommend it for anyone wanting an RTS that isn't a pushover. I only play it when I'm totally loaded on coffee. :D

The ironic thing is yesterday I picked up Constructor which requires a little more thought than I'm used to, BUT I CAN'T STOP PLAYING IT! I can't even get very far without everything going to hell so I just keep starting over and over. I can't stop. This is worse than crack.

I have a few of these already, but this is still the best little promo you've had in weeks. Thanks, snagged a few!

But unfortunately not with the us voices as many requested.

Oh yeah. But things going south is part of the fun in this one. :D
