AndrewC: Yes, because it's obviously a bad option to be able to to kill a compromised app (virused, stealing sensitive data, whatever) on all the PCs running it instead of letting it go on misbehaving.
Also, remember that this only applies to Metro apps from the Metro curated store, so your regular applications are unaffected by this.

curated which applies to all app stores.
But yeah, Google is evil, Microsoft is evil, Apple is evil! Nevermind the fact that using that kill switch on an application that doesn't have any issues would cause the company more damage than anything else imaginable.
I just don't like giving that much control to anyone. It doesn't matter if they abuse it or not. I'm perfectly capable of taking care of my own PC and I don't want others doing it for me.
