Definitely getting this. I have none of these games and Trine looks great.

xyem: Really looking forward to this. The last two were awesome, though I wasn't particularly impressed that I had to choose between pirating or buying Gish again to get the update :P A little more co-operation between Woflire and CL could have easily fixed that.

At least doing it was PWYW so I could choose what the update was worth, but I don't like how that will skew their metrics...
I'm not sure I understand. There was an update to Gish but it wasn't made available to HIB owners? Where was the update available as PWYW? I'm confused.

yes, Gish was updated to 1.6 after the HIB ended but wasn't updated in the HIB. The newer version is available as PWYW on the Chronic Logic website (http://www.chroniclogic.com/gishorder.htm)

Oh dear, how annoying.

Certainly is. Someone asked about it on the CL forums (http://www.pontifex2.com/smf/index.php?topic=1345.0) but the reason was that they didn't have access to HIB order data (hence a little more co-operation would fix it).

Seems a little odd to me that they (Wolfire?) would sell a game at a specific version and not share the order data so the people that could buy it could get updates from the developers..

EDIT: Anyone know if this has been brought up with them at all?

I redeemed the Steam code I got from the bundle, so I will get any update to Gish that goes live on Steam. Though I am stuck with what ever version came with the HIB on the DRM free copy that I have backed up.
Sounds really interesting.
Well, I already have Trine and I'm not too interested in Shadowgrounds or the others, but this is a good cause so I'll probably buy it anyway, if only to help ensure that they continue to offer more bundles.

EDIT - I wonder if we will be allowed to gift portions of the bundle. I obviously have no need for a second copy of Trine but if I could give that copy away, it would be mighty cool.

I alraedy have Trine on my PS3, and I don't know the other games, but I'll pick it up for sure.

*prepares to buy another 5000 copies at $0.01 each to screw over the Linux average*

If that works and judging the amount of people responding to this thread to already obtain Trine while still purchasing the bundle, I foretell a flood of contest and give-away threads on GoG! :p

Maybe I am just a little confused, but why do they need the order data? Revenge of the Titans, which was in the second Humble Bundle, has released multiple updates to their product without issue. With each update, a fresh copy of the game is uploaded to the Humble Bundle website for download, as well as being announced on Twitter and their personal forums.

If Revenge of the Titans can do this easily by sending an updated copy of the game, why can't Gish? Not sure what is needed with the order data. Or if anything, create a standalone patch for anyone to use?
While the games don't appeal to me (just not my style of gaming), I strongly applaud the Humble Bundle concept....drm-free, name your price, money goes to charities.

Awesome concept.

With the order data, people won't have to rely on the HIB being updated to get updated versions. Makes more sense to me to do it that way (but most sense to update HIB and be able to download from the original developers).

An easier way to solve it would be the way it's been dealt with for all other HIB games that have had updates. All they have to do is give the updated version to the HIB guys (Wolfire) and they'd update the downloads. Seems like CL are making things out to be a lot more complicated than they are. Or they're stupid.

EDIT: Bundle's up and order placed. The number of sales was 43 when I started and 153 afterwards so I'm at least as early as 153 if not earlier. =D Also, I was told my contribution was high enough to be in the top contributors list. It's not any more, but that was nice.
