cogadh: That's because paying less than a dollar is just rude. It's for charity, the least anyone could do is throw them a buck. :p

MGShogun: Actually, I was going to toss in 15 bucks. But for some reason, the paypal doesn't work. X.X I was going to donate most of the cash to the charity.
the site must have gotten overloaded the deal is on for 15 days so can try it later i guess

Aningan: Was looking forward to it but I just noticed I already got Trine and Shadowgrounds Survivor with the gaming magazine I get. So I'll pass unless they add something up.

I need more time to play games. I'm very much behind :)

eyeball226: Getting a full game with a magazine sounds very... uh... suspect. >.>
<.<
Is it more expensive than a normal magazine?
Yes, it is. Not by a huge amount tho. Some of the games that come with it I would never buy and you don't get a choice to get one without it. So it's fair pricing overall. Kinda like GoG since the games are of course older games. And good games (and slightly newer) usually get on the magazine when a sequel is in the works so they get some good press with it.

Vagabond: Purchase for the principle of the thing.
My gaming budget is on a 'diet'. Wife would be upset if I don't stick to it. And paying just a couple of bucks doesn't seem exactly right.

cogadh: Ugh! Jack Claw already has a black mark against it with the preview they are offering:

"PLEASE NOTE:
An Xbox 360 Controller for Windows is required to play this demo."

Now that's a bunch of bullshit!

Wishbone: How can any indie developer fail so hard?!
they did not post the full line there lol it says
"JACK CLAW CURRENTLY REQUIRES THE XBOX 360 CONTROLLER TO WORK PROPERLY (OTHER PADS WILL HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE RIGHT THUMBSTICK).

WE'LL ADD SUPPORT FOR KEYBOARD & MOUSE SHORTLY.

MAC & LINUX VERSIONS ARE ALSO COMING SOON!

DOWNLOADS ARE ALSO COMING BACK SOON, SORRY!
"
According to the website they're adding M+KB support soon.

cogadh: To be fair, the game is an unfinished abandoned project,
I'm sorry, what? Abandoned? I was not aware of that. Also, I find it... odd, to say the least, to include something like that in the bundle.

That said, I still find it strange that that should be the only option. If I was developing a new game, I certainly wouldn't restrict the control options to a 360 controller, even if I owned one. It seems to me that should take more work to do than making the control scheme generic. But maybe it's made using XNA? I reckon M$ might have made the 360 controller an integrated part of that framework. I've never used it, so I don't know, but it seems like something they might do.

Ah, that's more like it. What's this about the project being abandoned then? Doesn't sound like it.

guess they ran out of funds or something
It's a good bundle and the project deserves support. While I already got all three games and Splot doesn't look very interesting to me my support is this time smaller, just a little bit over the total average. I think that's fair, because this way I don't ruin the statistics and it's better than nothing.

I'm not sure we can go by what is on the website, it looks like it hasn't been updated in years. Based on the statement on the HIB website:

"Jack Claw is a title that Frozenbyte worked on for a couple of years but never finished."

That sounds like an abandoned project to me.

It is a good bundle, and I'm happy to support it - in the split I gave the majority as a tip to the Humble Bundlers themselves, though, since I already own the 3 actual complete games in it. :-P
hmm wonder how im going to get the bundle this time...
I'll probably lowball it. I have Trine, zero interest in Shadowgrounds, Jack Claw is unfinished and never will be, and not enough information on Splot.
Done. Paid with all I had on my card, but sadly, it is not much. :(
35000+ sales, $180,000+ made in about 22 hours.

Something is always better than nothing. Look at it this way, if you totally refrained from buying it they wouldn't get any money at all. Even though I already own/not wild about the titles I will still throw some money in and direct it all to Frozenbytes because I think they're a solid developer.

OMG I own the 3 actual games, but I'm still gonna buy em. :)
