Finally I know how my facilities are located relative to the rest of the world! (where my facilities are what you find around the big silo you see on the map)

Also, are there any plans for a full wipe of the world upon Halloween update?

Well, that would depend on whether the new Halloween features are available for SMP and whether they are compatible with existing SMP maps.

From what I've seen the features should be available for SMP, but old areas will not feature stuff like biomes, only areas that are generated after the patch will feature thas. Only feature that looks like it kinda might not make it is working HP.
That would make the outskirts newish and the old central parts... old! :)

Railroads DO NOT work in multiplayer period! No testing facilities, subways or anything is needed!
Placing them causes a memory leak in your client and riding a cart lags the hell out of everything, do not experiment do not place them, wait for a fix.

Maybe a warning on in the MOTD? Otherwise it's really easy to - like me - just out of curiosity try and build rails, not knowing the severity of the deed.

I'll just leave it there since removal also causes trouble. D: I'll add a warning sign or two to the area.
