So.... Just come up with the way you met me (Obviously none of you have actually met me in the real world so you are going to be forced to lie which works cause that's what I'm after)... Our eyes met across the crowded hat store. I, a customer, and you a coquettish haberdasher. Oh, I pursued and you withdrew, then you pursued and I withdrew, and so we danced. I burned for you, much like the burning during urination that I would experience soon afterwards.

I remember when I met you, we were running from a horde of blood-crazed Turkish steppe bandits, where we bonded over our attempt to eat that goddamn horse, until we were finally cornered, and about to make one last stand, and the bandit king rode up, handed you your wallet, said, "You forgot this back at Ankara" and left. Man, good times, good times.

I remember I met you as I took out your right kidney after I knocked you out. The way you looked... annoyed, ticked off, but not in pain.

You then told me to "get the left kidney" since the right one was the good one and you needed to have the left one removed since it was cancerous anyway.

Ah, good times.

I dont remember when we first met, my first memory of meeting you was waking up with you in bed next to me and 14 used condoms scattered around, my wallet was empty so I still convince myself it was a combo of booze, hookers and coincidence.

If I recall correctly, I met you in passing at first. A quick, kind word about my sweater as we each got our coffee during lunch. I barely noticed you then, all I heard was your voice, and as I quickly looked around to identify the commentator and utter a hasty "Thank you" you were gone. I met you again at the gym, a week or two later. Our eyes met across the room multiple times, attempting to identify the familiarity of each other. Finally you came over to me and we were formally introduced. Only one final step remained to complete our introduction. When I came home later that day I remember signing into Facebook and seeing a new friend request, who else could it have been than you?

Ah... I still remember that day. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about it. We were shooting at the damn terrorists, and they were shooting at us. Bullets were flying everywhere. Then you came around, waved a white flag, and asked everybody whether we wanted home made cookies.

And then the war ended, and we were all eating cookies!

I met you when I time-traveled from the future to warn you that if you don't give $60 to me, Skynet will take over the world and there will be a terrible war between humans and robots...

I looked out my window all I could see was Akwater bent over, facing away, pulling weeds. I was hooked!

Shit happens. And it did indeed happen if I remember correctly.

I thought it was funny.

It was a dark and chilly morning in December of 2001. Strange, it doesn't feel like a decade had passed, I still remember it like it was yesterday. Anyway as I was saying, the sun was still just below the horizon (around 6 am), but I had to be up because I had to be at work at 8. I remember that I was feeling a little ill that day and contemplated whether I should call in sick or not. Normally I probably would have, since my work involves occasional contact with very young children and I would certainly not want to pass my germs to them. However, since luck had not been with me the past few days before that morning, I felt like I couldn't let down my boss again and decided to tough it out, if just for one day.

At about 7, I had gotten ready and headed out to my car. Now, it was snowing pretty heavily just then, as it had been doing all night long. Try as I might, my car would not budge. I could either keep working to try and get the car out and drive in this snowstorm, or I could quickly jog to the subway and guarantee myself that I would not arrive late. I decided for the latter option.

The snow came down heavily still. I literally resembled a snowman by the time I reached the street that would lead me to the subway station. Unfortunately I still had maybe a mile to go. Because I was just about the first person to hit the street since the storm started, I was almost knee-deep in snow. Now I was guaranteed to be late - there was no way I'd make it to the subway station in 10 minutes in this weather.

Suddenly I saw a black sedan slowly roll up beside me. I'm not going to lie, I was a little afraid at that moment and just kept walking. The vehicle followed me for a few seconds before the driver-side window rolled down to reveal a dark figure inside. I couldn't see what he looked like because it was still dark and the view was partially obstructed by the falling snow.

'Hey buddy, you need a ride?' It was a man's voice, and he obviously didn't sound hostile.

'It's okay,' I replied. 'I'm covered in snow, I wouldn't want to mess your car up.'

'Don't worry about it. I'm headed downtown, so if you're going in that general direction I'll be glad to give you a lift!'

I stopped. I did have to go downtown, and I really did not want to be late. 'If you insist,' I finally agreed after a couple of seconds. 'Let me just brush all this snow off me first.'

He rolled up his window and waited for me to come around to the passenger's side. As I pulled the handle to open up the car door, a gush of wind carried a handful of snow right into the car, covering the man and the empty seat next to him. I apologized profusely, but he just laughed it off.

'What's your name?' He asked as we drove off.

'GoJays2025, and you?'

'akwater, pleased to meet you!'

And the rest, as they say, is history...

Kramer is always funny! I didn't realise you'd posted the same quote here that I posted earlier on Akwater's Facebook page, so had to edit my post above!

Woah, GoJays's one is so long that it seems almost futile entering now. :P

Well, Akwater and I go way back... we met when I was 16, I was living on the streets of Reno making money by reading palms. It was a hot day, hotter than any in living memory and I was almost dying of thirst. I hadn't learned to store water in my buttocks at that point so it was a struggle. A tall man in a black trench coat and approached me and and asked for a reading. As soon as I started, I finished and he left. With the money I'd made, I went and bought a drink. Akwater was the shopkeeper.
