In 24 years I haven't gotten BoFIV out of my head: the best sprite art the PS1 ever saw, the dragon ball-like transformations and battles - well-paced and turn-based capped with the intricate combo system. The main quest and cast; Kahn, my beloved Ershin, and the tragedy of Fou-Lu are personal highlights. And the breadth of charming mini-games on offer (Fairy town sim and actually fun fishing stand out) complete the package. Music-wise watch the trailer and tell me that intro doesn't fill your heart with yearning, I'll replay BoFIV sometime in the near future one way or another, would love to buy a BoF collection to do so and show Capcom I care.

This DOES have a PC version! Capcom and SEGA are notorious for having one-off PC versions of their historic catalogue even if those versions aren't exactly great representations of the game or franchise. I would hope GOG reaches out to these publishers to look into preserving them for modern platforms!

Loved this game back in PSX era. I remember playing the whole game in japanese since it was the first version to arrive here in Brazil for some reason. When the US version came out, I played it all over again and this time understanding a little bit of the story. This is one of my all time beloved JRPGs and I would love to have this immortalized with GOG.

Truly one of the best JRPGs of its time. With a beautiful art direction, wonderful animations and a pastel color palette. Truly an inspiration for me who aspires to create pixel art as gorgeous as this game's. The combat system is also super interesting with its combo mechanic. And the story remains interesting the whole way through. Played this on my PSP not too long ago and I really hope this comes back on gog so more people can experience it, as the old PC version does not run on modern hardware...

It has Jennifer English in the cast...that is all. But that isn't enough for this review to be shared, so I must also say that as soon as it came out, the reviews have been nothing but praise, so yes, we need this game on GOG!

It actually chokes me up to think about it again because I loved it so much. I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that it was my favorite video game ever. The combat was so fluid and fast paced with short global cool downs and limited action sets for abilities. The dungeons and raids were my absolute favorite in any MMO that I have ever and yet to play. Nothing quite scratches that itch to this day. The housing system has yet to be matched in my opinion. When it shut down the MMO world lost something so incredibly special in terms of housing development and design. Being able to resize, record, and position items to your hearts content made for some amazing creations and really highlighted player creativity. I loved the sense of humor in game too. It was quirky and cartoony and didn’t take itself too seriously, which was refreshing. I guarantee you if it was still around I’d still be playing it pretty much daily like I was. Most importantly, it was the first MMO that I played where I actually made friends in game with which eventually grew into some pretty strong friendships over the years. It was an absolutely beautiful, chaotic mess of a game and I cherish the time that I was able to spend in it - which according to steam was just north of 3000 hours. RIP Wildstar. We still talk about you.

Blitz: The League II

Blitz the League II not exactly the most hyped of games but still this is my review and take on it. Basically, it's over the top in your face football which isn't necessarily bad in fact commendable. The music definitely does suit the genre and at times feels badass. There are injuries all over the place and that's a key mechanic of the game. There are girls, numerous clubs, steroids (of course). Probably the coolest part of the game is probably the injury mechanics it's really quite fun and it's a mechanic other football games explore cough, cough Madden. A big problem with Blitz the League II is that if feels almost exactly the same as the First Blitz the league. My recommendation if you're interested rent it split the cost with a ****'s not likely though to be making a comeback at all.

I think it would be very good for GOG to have this game available here and to support its development. One of the reasons is that is a genuine good game, it's fun to play and many people are starting to notice that.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - Deluxe Edition

It was my childhood. I remember, when I was little, dreaming to play this game but my graphic card could not support it. After I bought a better one and loaded this game, I felt mesmerized by this game...I think I played hundreds of hours, if not, thousands. I would definetively want to continue my adventures, via GoG, so I ask of you: Get this game, now GOG Team!

Terranigma is one of the most profound stories ever told in video game history. Despite the technical limitations of the SNES it was able to trigger profound emotions only few games were able to do. In my over 30 years of gaming, Terranigma stand as one of the defining games of my childhood and life overall. I really hope more people can experience the story of Terranigma revolving around the meaning of life and death, good and bad, duty and playfulness.

A friend of mine spoke highly of this game a short while ago, he says it was on Steam and they removed the page, probably due to incompatibility with new OS so it might not run as it should on PC. I would be happy if you could recover this gem and make it available on GOG. Unfortunately I have not had direct experience with it, but I would like to recover it. Thanks again for this fantastic preservation operation! Keep on keeping on!

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter

The rest of Falcom's main franchises have always been on GoG day-one including the Trails franchise. The Sky games are a lovely trilogy of games with a rich world, loveable characters and a charming narrative. Looking at my profile icon (if you're reading this in the future, it was set as Estelle Bright, the protagonist of the Sky games) it's no secret that I love the Trails series including Sky and it would be great to see the remake on here DRM-free to fully complete the Trails collection available on GoG.

Now that Doom 2016 is out on GOG, Doom Eternal should be a natural follow. Really enjoyed this game when it first released, and now that it's been a few years and mods are available, having a DRM free version to play around with would be incredible for this kind of modding fun. Hope GOG gets this one soon so we can have all the Doom games DRM free.

Breathe a little life back into my precious. My Fractured Space. My Raven. No other game has gripped quite as tightly upon my orbs as this one. Fractured Space is a standout example in a nearly barren genre of gaming, and easily beats out those meager competitors in the places that actually matter to me. GAMEPLAY and SOUL This game has vision, it has an identity. Everything here is a visual treat. The hanger/main screen, the maps, the animations from jumps to weapon discharge, the ships themselves, are all beautifully designed. They feel right and scream unique. Everything has a sort of brand to it. The sound design is distinct and great too. You can know what you're facing by image or audio alone, each element is that notable, and there is no oversaturation of visual or audio garbage that you lose clarity within a match, something I've seen many other games fail at. That's good conveyance. A game that gives 6 degrees of movement for ships in space *gasp* it can't be. And yet it be. The gameplay is just plain enjoyable. Fighting other ships is actually fun, abilities feel good to use, your freedom of movement has weight to it, and position matters when fighting to win lanes. Good timing, pressure, and accuracy are rewarded in the dynamic skirmishes over the different sectors of the map. The robust movement system, abilities, presence of turret traverse and parallax, armor faces, and relationship of distance and projectile velocity all combine to make aiming your guns fun. Aiming your guns is fun in FS. The gamemode actually means something, too. Map control means levels of advantage, and winning Gamma is like winning Arrakis. The game ends. All that is to say, the gameplay loop itself is addictively compelling, and not many games can say that. You want a MOBA that doesn't make you hate yourself for playing it? This is it. I'm not explaining what Gamma is or what a Raven do. You should find out yourself and help bring back the king. Fractured Space deserves it.

I've been playing this game since the Open Beta, and the most I can say is when it is fun, it's really fun. I play the game with my partner a lot, and the best things I can say for it is in regards to the characters and gameplay. It's a little faster and floatier than Smash, to be sure, but it's also got personality due to it. I mean, after all, it's the fighting game where Bugs Bunny can drop a safe on Batman with no effs given. And I think it's why I like it so much. It was willing to take risks, even if it didn't entirely pay off. And I wanna keep that around.

This is one of the most exciting RTS releases of the past decade. It'd be great to see this game on GOG. Tempest Rising is an excellent RTS inspired greatly by Command and Conquer games, especially Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars.

GOG must release the game. At the time of writing, there is no “Sims like” on GOG. All the more reason to encourage the arrival of a Sims competitor on GOG. From what I've seen, the game looks promising. All we can do now is hope for a good follow-up in terms of updates, and perhaps we'll finally have a worthy heir to The Sims.

when thinking about games I played as a kid, I always end up thinking about this game and its sequel. It had the charm and humour of Lionhead Studios and there hasn't been a game like it since. I would love to play the games again, and help my village and creature.

We had a store page, but for some reason, be it GOG or Slitherine, the page is now gone and the game is not coming at least not at launch, this is really disappointing because i'm sure many and not just myself were looking forward to it. Hopefully Slitherine and GOG manage to get this in the future for those of us that cared to get it here DRM-Free.

The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth

One of my alltime-favorite RTS. The game did a great job capuring the atmosphere of LOTR. Playing through missions like the battles at Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith or commanding your heroes through the mines of Moria was just awesome. For me, Battle of Middle-Earth is one of the most memorable and also most enjoyable RTS I ever played. I'd really love to see this absolute classic to be available at GOG.

God Hand is simply one of the best brawlers ever made and the closest you'll get to a game that straddles the line between a character-action game like Devil May Cry and a 2D beat 'em up like Streets of Rage. There's nothing quite like it—the humor, the rewarding yet challenging combat system, the dynamic difficulty, and the craziest boss fights you'll ever see, all wrapped up in an expertly paced 10-hour adventure you'll never forget. Sure, the camera controls can be a "turn-off" for some, but those who push forward and stick with it will find themselves smiling and laughing all the way through. It's Shinji Mikami's wildest creation, and it's a shame it's stuck on the PS2/PS3. Let's bring it back!

The game of my childhood. I remember my sister introducing me to the game and making me dream. I'd watch my sister play for hours, with a cult moment in one of the quests, the song about the guy asking for wood for his boat. Even today, the game still makes me dream, with its innovative gameplay for its time. ❤️

The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Silent HillSilent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry's heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Breath of Fire IV

In a far-away world, two continents float, separated by a vast swamp-land. For eons, no contact existed between the two continents because ships couldn’t sail across the expanse. At last, when the historic first contact was made between the two powers, war erupted! After long and costly fighting between the Fou Empire in the west and an alliance of countries in the east, both sides exhausted all their strength and resources. With no other alternative, the two powers agreed to an armistice. One year later, Princess Elina vanished. She had been traveling in the east from town to town, exploring battlegrounds and visiting war veterans. Her trail vanished in a small town near the front line. Nobody knew her whereabouts! The Eastern Alliance wanted to avoid sending a large army to the front. Such a move would be a political blunder, breaking the armistice and stirring up hostilities. It became impossible to carry out a large-scale search for Elina. Time passed... with no sign of the princess. Elina’s sister, Princess Nina, finally makes up her mind. She leaves on a journey in search of her sister – by herself. Ryu Ryu meets Nina while he is lying unconscious on a street in a desert town in the eastern continent. His race and native land are unknown. Ryu has a Dragon’s Eye, which empowers him with the amazing abilities to transform into a dragon and summon dragons. Nina The princess of Wyndia, a town of the Fae tribe (winged folk). Nina meets Ryu on her journey to seek her lost sister Elina. Though somewhat naïve, Nina is skilled in Healing magic. Scias A mercenary soldier, Scias was hired by the eastern side during the war. Scias becomes the party’s watcher. He is very quiet and aloof from the world. Scias can perform a powerful double attack with his sword. Cray A young leader of the Woren tribe (cat people) in the eastern alliance, Cray joins Nina to search for Princess Elina, his childhood friend. He has a strong sense of responsibility and acts as the leader of the party. His high offensive and defensive abilities are very dependable. Ershin Ershin wears completely sealed armor to protect her from any kind of curse. Since she wears the armor all the time, no one knows her real face or background. She meets the party in a mysterious place polluted by a curse and decides to join them. Ursula Ursula is a middle-class leader of the Fou Empire. She came to the eastern continent in search of dragons, and meets up with Ryu and his companions. Ursula was brought up in the military, and knows very little about worldly concerns. She is excellent at attacking with both magic and weapons. Fou-Lu Fou-lu unified the western continent single-handedly with his paranormal powers. He became the first emperor of the Fou Empire several hundred years ago. Despite his youthful look, he has mystic dignity. It is said that he predicted his own resurrection as he passed away. Currently, we can’t disclose the business status of a game before its release due to the complexity of the process and the potential negative impact this could have on our efforts. However, we’re working on a feature that will let you track the games you’ve voted for once they’re released.

Does high number of votes for a game mean that it will be released sooner?

A high number of votes shows strong interest, which influences both GOG and IP owners. However, we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted game will be released.

How does my vote help to preserve games?

All games on GOG are DRM-free, so you can download and back them up for future use. Additionally, we aim to include as many games as possible in the GOG Preservation Program, ensuring classic titles remain playable on modern systems.

What happens with Stories once the game is released on GOG?

We’re working on a solution to migrate Stories to GOG.COM game cards once the game is released: we won’t let them get lost.
