CD Projekt RED, GOG's sister company and the development studio of the acclaimed The Witcher franchise, has just announced their new game - THE BARD: Saviors of Queens. The adventure is supposed to revolve around an undisclosed poet whose name is yet to be determined.

Following recent video game trends the title will offer a very short and linear story. Almost no gameplay whatsoever and twenty launch DLCs, including a special pink banjo (normally obtainable by finishing a game) and a unicorn mount, will have you stuck in front of your computer screen for minutes. Check out the announcement trailer below and visit http://www.saviors-of-queens.com for even less details.
Awesome, I can't wait to not play this game. I've always been intrigued by games that do everything for me, like Dungeon Siege 2. But that was too long, I eventually tire of watching my character kill countless monsters with little or no help from me. The Bard sounds like the perfect play time, like a good song, keep it short, and leave them wanting more. Definitely getting the deluxe edition, that bust will look so cool wearing the splinter cell night vision goggles.
GoG and CD Projekt RED are so fucking badass.
Cool! It's Banjo Man the game!
I bet This game will also have the best and most user friendly DRM ever

When installing the game you have to eat banana's while singing: "If you wanna be my lover" from the Spice girls. If you do not do this: then you cannot install the game

the game will also requrie constant internet connection and if the connection fails for at least a second then Marcin comes out of the monitor and kicks you in the nuts

Awesome! Will it take place in medieval New York? :D
Wow... instead of sword and sorcery, we get mandolin and sex! Well played, CD Projekt! Well played!
What the...? A pseudo-advertisement for a fake game? This is brilliant! I think what would make this even better is if it were, in fact, a real 'coming-soon' game whose only purpose is to be a advertainment/edutainment hybrid denouncing the current state of most AAA video games while simultaneously highlighting GOG.com's high-quality, DRM-free catalog of games.

why? in Germany you do April fool gags the whole day... from midnight to midnight :)
You have to check out the developer's diary at the website.
"On the easiest diffuculty setting of THE BARD-SAVIORS OF QUEENS the game plays itself, so you are not burdened by any gameplay"
Brilliant.

I wan't this game.
Considering the game's theme, I think it would be nice to either have a dedicated mandolin-controller... or follow Blizzard's lead and go with motion detection ^^.
For april 1st you tried a little too hard, you could of really had people going in the belief of a new 'bard's tale', but yeah... fail.
Plz say this is real... Plzzzzzz

Take my money!

imagine all the mods that would be made D:!
