Ah, thanks. And 5 sovereigns sounds like a bargain. Hell, backpacks are more expensive than that these adventuring days ;)

Yep, I also constantly ran into backspace problems. Until I downloaded the DA:O Toolset and chea*cough* edited it a little bit, that is. :)

I have to take a look at the toolset. You increased your char inventory space or added a chest somewhere ?

Increased it and running around with 500 space now. It drops down to 125 as soon as you buy any backpack, but as long as you don't do so, it remains on that set value. Played now from beginning through Redcliff / Magetower / elven woods up to Denerim without running into a problem.

SPOILER AHEAD - don't read if you don't want to change it too - you've been warned.

- Load your savegame (Dragon Age/Characters/yourcharname/Saves/Slot_1 with the toolset.
- expand SAVEGAME_PARTYLIST
- edit the value of SAVEGAME_MAX_ITEMS to your liking
- save it - done

SPOILER end

BTW, when does the board here get a little update? We could use some rather commen tags like /spoiler....

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to install the toolset then.
And no, don't worry, i won't buy any backpacks after that. Not when they cost over 7 sovereigns to add a pitfull 10 slots to your inventory space ;)

btw if you look at the bioware social site under projects, there are a few mods already released. the most popular one is a chest that gets put into camp that you can store stuff in, there's other stuff there as well, i haven't tried them out yet though. a useful one looked to be one that allowed you to respec your companions skills to hwo you like them

Thanks.
I heard about the 'camp chest' but i was kind of waiting for some feedback to see if items don't vanish or something. I don't want to loose the items that have codex entries and all the dalish stuff i have ;)
It seems many people are using the chest without problems, so i guess it's safe to give it a try now.
That respec mod also sounds cool. Some of the companions skills could use a bit of tweaking. I'll definitely take a look at that one.

Dragon Age Nexus is all I'll ever need for mods. :)
The CD check is killing me. Oh well, the $10 game voucher at Amazon was worth it, but still, eh. I guess I should blame myself, as I was cheap in building this machine and only have one optical drive.
Also, I love my Arcane Warrior. Finally, a game with powerful plate-wearing casters!
Finished the game today, about ten minutes ago.
Good ending, I'll definitely be playing it again, possibly by doing everything the opposite way.
Didn't exactly leave it open for a follow-on sequel, I'll be interested to see what they decide comes next. Mind you, that might take a while...
Started playing today, finally. Finished the Mage origin and just arrived at Ostagar. Enjoying it a lot so far.
Finished it today too. A damn good game I say.
My game of the year, so far.

I liked it, but I dare say that Muramasa (Wii) is my game of the year. Dragon Age contained far too many frustrating moments (bugs and inconsistent difficulty, namely) for me to praise it as the best game of 2009. The best PC game, then? I'd have to think on that.
A minority position on a PC gaming forum, most likely.

Funilly enough, I only encountered two or three bugs in the whole time I played. And very near the end as well. I was somewhat impressed.
The difficulty however was an annoying at first. But then again, It does not make it a bad game.
I found the story and character development absolutely top notch. And I suppose this is what made it my game of the year so far.
