Hey! I finally got a new computer so for the first time it's possible for me to play without sudden lag. I think my Mesmer is called Vyrania Wintermist.

At work at the moment, I will send you invites at lunch, which is in 1:45

I almost made a second thread but there's no point. This thread does well to answer questions, including guild questions and alliance questions.

Here's an update on where we're at with the guild:

-We are alligned with Luxon based on popular demand
-We have our own guild hall (look up screenies of The Isle of Solitude to see what it looks like)
-We have as of this post a storage npc and a merchant npc which cost a total of 35 plat. More to come as we organize together, whether that's me farming stuff to gather plat or taking donations from guild members. So far one of our members kindly donated his faction turnins after we got allied with Luxon, so we have 22.5k faction towards them currently.
-Friendly atmosphere -while I am the guild leader so far we are all equals, with the older more experienced vets answering the younger recruits' questions.
-Open door policy - this hasn't been discussed yet, but I don't have problems having people in the guild as long as they're not assholes. Will check with the people already established ingame to verify this.
-We have an alliance! We are currently allied with Slovak Warriors. Possibly more to come, depending on gog people and their goals with the game.

Hope this update helps, and even if you play once every few months, post your ingame name and I can send a guild invite even if you're offline.

Random question about GW. Not about the Guild.

I have a stack of ded mini's... Anything I can do with them? They take up a lot of inventory and storage space. I'm thinking of trashing them if it doesn't affect of Hall of Monuments?

It doesn't affect the Hall of Monuments, but you may want to try selling the minis to a cheap collector, depending on what minis you have. They probably won't sell for much though.

If you have the extra character slots you could always just store them on a mule character.

I'm back and invited another gog'er to the guild this evening. Sorry for my absence, my old computer died on me. I am working towards getting a new one (literally, pulling overtime tonight and tomorrow) but should be on Sun/Mon

anyone have any tips for beating abaddon?

Bring some anti-knockdown skills and Pain inverter (if you have EotN) works great.
While hitting his head, don't forget to cast health degen spells (Conjure Phantasm, etc.) as they will continue to work after his head becomes untargettable again, until their duration expires.

Keep moving, bring high damage builds, kill the monoliths fast (one side, the other, then centre) then hit him with all you've got. Hexes don't last full length on him, so Wastrel's Worry deals damage pretty quickly if you have a mesmer. All told Abaddon is probably easier than the spoiler related fight at the end of Gate of Madness.

I wish I had bought them during the Steam sales. *sniffles* I'll play one day, GOG!

I Love Guild Wars

all classes are level 20 with max armor and green weapons (there version of epic? weapons or at least specialty weapons) and took my Necromancer through all the campaigns earning her the titles for NightFall Protector, Proph Protector, and Factions Protector tried to get into EON but wasn't as good as the other xpacs.

Awesome free MMO I definitely recommend it to those that are looking for a time sink, and have internet! currently not playing because I lack the funds to pay for Internet at my apartment. :D
