GameRager: It's called proxies...use one when making the other account. Heck, just use a different OS....steam somehow sees my two OSs as different PCs so just use two OSs on separate partitions and all should be fine.
Regardless of proxies, they still have a way of linking Steam accounts (as well as forum and support accounts). I know the latter to be true as they've done that with my accounts when tracking a support question of mine that went unanswered for over 2 years.

They still can't track if you're the one behind 2 separate accounts if you're careful enough. It's like you think they're big brother wiht eyes everywhere with how you describe them. 0.o

You'll have to trust me on this one. But they can indeed track them. I know this not just from the above example I gave, but also because I used to be a part of their translation team (with another account on a completely separate IP address).

The simple point remains, if you you are at all concerned over losing access to your current games on Steam, steer clear of CD keys like this one for which you cannot guarantee that they are not stolen/paid for using fraudulent transactions, etc.

You're not giving real proof though, just your say so....and saying you used to be part of something steam related isn't proof.

Well, I've given as much proof as this CD key seller has given to show that his keys were obtained in a legit manner ;)

But hey, if someone wants to risk adding one of these CD keys to their Steam account, that's up to them. I'm not going to be so foolish.

You're right, it's not like the game will ever be sold in Japan anyway! :P

It's being sold in Japan via GamersGate.

Yer right.........I am just playing devil's advocate here and saying we should let anyone take what info we've given them and make up their own minds now.....sound fair?

necro-bump an unauthorized reseller. Brilliant

Buy the game at greenmangaming. $36.49 is cheap and only $8 more for peace of mind.

Is Green Man Gaming any good? I'm normally hesitant when buying any games from a retailer that isn't Steam, Gamersgate or D2D.
I know this thread has long died, and I didn't read it all...

but let's look at this from what we can easily find out eh?

Filip, from the UK

is running a business in Serbia

that rips open boxed copies from god knows where, and sells a picture of a CDkey for cheap.

Primarily focussed towards Americans.

and here we're arguing the legality of it? Common sense tells us it's at least bloody shady.

They have actually won some awards for innovation and such. From other forums it seems you get the steam key right away and you can start pre-loading.

They're a solid online distributor. Since you get a key that you can activate over steam it's no different than purchasing it through steam. I pre-ordered mine through there with that deal and activated it fine. I'm hoping the mod community will jump on it quickly and make it more like a duke game.
