Darkenmal: Hasn't happened to me yet.
No but the point is that it can happen to people who buy games in this way.

Yet this has been brought up enough times(Imo) to allow everyone to make their own decision on whether or not to trust this guy or not....to where any further "warnings" to those reading here aren't really needed at this point.

Yes, well, I hope you enjoy the dozens if not hundreds of credit card chargebacks you'll get when people have their Steam accounts disabled because of your CD keys.

Toodles. ^_^

Trust isn't the right word. It's do I close my eyes and hope for the best or do I stay away.

Oh stop being so one sided...you said your peace now leave the guy alone & let others make theoir own judgement with the posts at hand here already.

hedwards: Unless somebody has actual evidence that this is illegal or that the store owner is breaking the law, they really ought to just cram it. Because making such false statements is slander in some parts of the world and in the rest it's merely because of the additional motive requirement.
If you can come up with any logical alternative to how her gets to sell Duke Nukem Forever for $28 before release I'd love to hear it.

The onus is on you to prove your claims not us.

Hahaha... I am proving my claim by pointing out there is no way he could sell the game for $28 without one of the mentioned illegal methods. Actually I don't even like the term illegal here, and it was not me who used it. I prefer "developer being fucked over methods."

You mention it's illegal/wrong but don't prove it other than saying it is for the most part. Links to relevant sources plz.

Oh and also, if you don't want to support the dev(bad drm/bad policies/etc) yet want the game & also want to stay somewhat legal and not contribute to piracy figures then this is a good option imo.

I've provided. You ignore.

How about when he said it's legal to download drm-free games off the internet for owning a retail key? What the hell is that? Besides Dirt 3 has a securom disc check. So that download they'll provide will then either not work since the disc won't be available, or an iso will be provided which isn't allowed or a cracked made into drm-free download is made available.

There's no somewhat legal when it comes to buying from a seller. It's one or the other.

You don't get it. The "store" IS the source. The website itself and what they are doing is the proof that it is not proper.

Yes, but proper by what laws? Proof please, using statutes/laws/precendents/etc.

I already said I am not focusing on the legal side and that is not my term. I would guess though it is simple copyright infringement or contract fraud to sell outside of allowed circumstances in contracts.

The point is you cannot legitimately sell Duke Nukem Forever to Americans for $28 and make a profit. It is not possible. If you can think of a way go ahead and fill us in, but the proof is the website itself. Selling that game for $28 before release is the evidence, because it is not legitimately possible to do so without losing money.

He is not selling it for a profit.. he is just doing it so he draw attention to his site.
