I have it installed; so if we want to get together let me know. I'm up for a morning get together.
I've just got hold of it in the steam sale last week, may be up for something in the next few days.
I hear that although it's an MMO, that the game can be played in part as a single player game? How true is that?

It is true. Party members can be substituted by taking some henchmen and/or heroes to your party. in some cases it is better to play alone.
You can pretty much play the whole storyline alone.

Then I may have to pick it up next time it's on sale. Too bad the Eye of whatever expansion is sold on Steam as NCSoft won't sell it to me via their site =/

As far as I see here, you can buy any of the standalone campaigns with EotN for free. And they won't probably sell only EotN to you, unless you own any of the other campaigns - EotN is not standalone and it requres any of the standalone campaigns to play.

klaymen: *snip*

Unfortunately, the store is blank for me with the exceptions of banners leading to US based stores that either don't have the game in stock, or won't ship to Japan. =(

Oh, what a pity.
BTW did you try to download the GW client, create an account and buy the game there from the in-game (in-client, that is) store?

Haven't tried that yet no as they want $50.00 for the trilogy. So I guess I'll wait till the end of the year, see if Steam put it on sale again and then see what happens once I own the game =/ But I guess if they won't sell it that way either, I'll just have to make do with the 3 games.
I kindof regret not getting the trilogy off Steam for $20....but I want to EASE in, not JUMP in. If they had offered a 50-75% on individual titles, I would have taken the plunge for sure.
I always wanted to try the series.
So what is everyone's name on there? And what packs do you own? I have Prophcies, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. I need to find Factions...
Anyway my main is Roderick Nero, a level 19 Ranger/Mesmer.
Simon Belmondo, Wanton Bloodshed, and Sumdum Name in factions
Lan Fess in prophecies.

Heads up to those that want to try Guild Wars:
Guild Wars Platinum (Both Prophecies and Eye of the North) For 10 bucks. Just picked it up for a friend of mine.
They also have Factions for 15, which I ordered as well.

It might just be cheaper to get the platinum one, honestly. GW:EN seems to be about 20 or 30 bucks still by itself.
