skrot: Also, Sanitarium on windows 7 would be amazing.
I had no problems playing Sanitarium on Win7 64 all the way through, for what it's worth...

Is that so? Might have to throw away some more money soon then.. Would be sort of frustrating to find it not working however.

Also if this is true, GOG should add Windows 7 to the list on Sanitariums page, not bought it yet because of this.

Same here. Though I haven't had any Win7 issues with any GOG games as of yet, nor really with any game I own other than a couple. Arcanum and Myst ran fine before the update for me as well.

Ah, nice one, if Sanitarium works well for the both of you I might have to buy it soon.

You guys haven't tried Cannon Fodder though, have you? I can't get it working past the intro movie thing. Which is a shame, spent many hours in front of that back in the amiga days.
Has anyone tried the Gog's version of Gothic 2 on win7 (64) ?
I'd like sO much to play it again. Any chance, dear GoG team, to have it fully compatible with win7 someday?
same for Sierras Birthright : Gorgons Alliance one of the best OLD GAMES ever

would be wonderfull if we could download it for Win XP and all Following Windows !

skrot: I bought Cannon Fodder knowing it wouldn't work on Windows 7 but it's just such a damn good game I had to, also I am wishing it will get Windows 7 compatability soon.
Works just fine for me. You Esc the initial animated portion, wait for the intro and then left click the mouse once. Then you're in. Left click moves the guys, right click fires, and well consult the manual for the rest.

Not late at all. Thanks, this is good news. I'll try it very soon then :)
Dear Gog,
It would be fantastic if you would put an "updated" emblem over the game that has updates and has not been downloaded again.
I'd like this emblem to show up in the "My Collection" screen and I'd like to receive an e-mail when updates have been made to a game I own.
This way the updates won't be for Windows-7 compatibility only, but also for minor updates such as new artwork and such.
On a related topic:
I'd love to get an update for all DosBox titles telling me that they also contain a Linux installer.
Just look at the interest there is in the Gog-mix: Compatible with Linux!

If you run into any problems like my one friend did just play around with the compatability settings. He had bad in game lag, but he set it to admin and xp compatability mode and everything was fine after that.

Merchito: Could it be possible to be sent e-mails informing us when a game is from now on Windows-7 compatible?

I also wish this functionality existed. I'd love to get an email telling me that a game I am watching has been updated. Purchased games would be automatically watched just like how their forums are automatically flagged. Of course, a short description on what was changed/added would be helpful, too.

For instance, I'm holding off on Disciples from this weekend's sale because it lacks compatibility with Windows 7 x64. Granted, this may never happen, but an email letting me know if and when it does would be great.
Friends, I've just tested my old Sirtech's WIZARDRY 8 copy (with & without the patch) under Windows 7 (64), and it works like a charm!!! This game is really a wonderful program.

It would be SO cool (hint-hint) to own a DRM free version of this great software and get some bonuses to go along...

I've bought more than 25 games from GoG so far, and of those titles, the only one I've had any major problems with was Arx Fatalis, and the fix for that is as simple as skipping the videos.

I'm running Windows 7 32-bit here.
oh I've bought 3 games, all infinity engine games, and none of them have worked.

hassle free, win7 compatible games?

yeah fucking right. I'm looking for the same fixes as when I had the original games already, only im 30 dollars poorer now.

thanks gog.com
