user avatar@seph187Oh man, talk about a game that would easily make me can my subs to literally every other online game... this one is the GOAT easy. Combat system was waaaay head of its time. It closed seven years ago, and gaming is just now catching up to it. Best housing, best dungeons, best raids, best... everything. Would do some crazy stuff to see this go live again. Crazy, crazy stuff.
Fractured Space
Fractured Space
user avatar@ZachevFractured Space, despite being shut down almost a decade ago, is still my most played game on Steam. It's unique in that its a MOBA using capital ships in space and had a holy trinity of tank/healer/dps. The supports were especially fun to play as they actually had offensive capabilities that could be woven in-between healing cooldowns, which gave skilled support players a lot of impact. This is something not many games pull off well, but FS did. Ship controls were great, with 6 degrees of movement. (Up/Down, Forward/Back, Strafe Left/Right, Turn Left/Right). This is the primary thing that set it above a similar game called Dreadnought, as having strafing changed how you'd maneuver to avoid fire in combat drastically. It also made moving around objects much easier, which is important because the big neutral objective in the base game mode is a capture zone with a big station in the middle of it that you can use for cover. Your ship has a set amount of armor on each of the 6 facings. (Front/Back/Left/Right/Top/Bottom.) Once its broken, you take roughly double damage when being hit on that facing, so protecting damaged facings via maneuvering was an important part of combat. The ships all have unique models and abilities. I cannot sing praise of the artists and designers enough. Even a decade later, I still think its a great looking sci-fi game. Some skins like the Charon for the Colossus definitely stand above the rest. (Check Artstation for the "USR Charon" Colossus) All that said, FS is a niche game. The overlapping portion of the gaming Venn diagram for MOBA players and sci-fi game players is pretty small, and FS lacks a solid PVE mode. The devs tried to cover this with Last Stand, but it just never caught on. Still though, its a shame to see a game I loved and put over a thousand hours into gathering dust after Wargaming bought out Edge Case Games and shut it down. I'd love to see something done with it.

Rumbleverse
user avatar@thechrislotusThe marriage between fighting games, wrestling and battle royales made this game forever hold a special place in my mind and heart. There was nothing like it before and after it and it would be a dream come true if it were to return.
Magicka
Magicka
user avatar@texdadeMagicka is a truly amazing coop game that I devoured years back: it had one of the most innovative magic systems at the time and definitely one of the craziest coop experiences. Not only the gameplay was great, but its story was fun and interactions and characters spot on. This, coupled with the fact that some combos were NOT BALANCED AT ALL, made the game truly unforgettable. If played with friends, the story, DLCs and even the PVP will bring lots of hours of fun - like they did for me at the time - if only the game had its crashes fixed.
The Precinct
The Precinct
user avatar@Jreload123This is a game I want to play but; No GOG no buy. this has save me a lot of money nowadays. I don't like the idea of paying real money to get licenses with DRM that can be revoked at any moment. Also games need to be preserved and the best place to do this is on GOG. My message for GOG staff is up your storefront and api strategy so developers can get achievements working both on Linux and Windows releases like there is no Galaxy.dll library on Linux that is a concern meaning that your releases lack features at least try; in the near future so developers can release their games with full features. Also give better support for GNU/Linux and make GOG Galaxy 3.0 Linux native client with proton support, is not the year 2000 anymore just because you bring back old games and preserve them doesn't means you need to stagnate as a storefront too.

user avatar@abhis3kI skipped school to play this when the original came out in 2006 - I want to skip work to play this again if this comes to GoG in 2025. This has too much emotional value from the old days
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
user avatar@haustier064_8405Fantastic game from a small company that deserves to be DRM-free. The Soundtrack is sublime and it deserves all the support it can get. Bringing it to GOG will make sure that this gem is not lost
Desperate Housewives: The Game
Desperate Housewives: The Game
user avatar@NabrinaI picked this up in a bargain bin because it looked vaguely Sims-like, back before I had even seen any of the series. The sim elements are very light. Mostly it's a story based adventure game with some minigames for cooking and gardening (and the ability to seduce most of the men in the neighborhood). I still enjoyed it a lot and it got me to check out the series--which it definitely captures the vibe of. Licensed games have a certain (mostly deserved) reputation, but this is one of the cases where the devs seemed to give the licensed IP the faithful love it deserved. I still have the disk, but it's difficult to get installed these days (my preferred computer unfortunately doesn't even have a disk drive). So I would love to see it made available through GOG!
Terranigma
Terranigma
user avatar@NayvGorI didn't play Terranigma when it came out, I was born a few years later and grew up with a different generation of consoles and games, and I would have loved to discover it during my childhood. I started playing video games before I could read so I didn't really understand what was going on in games, I played mainly because the feeling was good and because it was simply fun. I probably saw this medium more as a toy than as a game with rules. As a result, I never went far and never finished games but I experimented with the system and used my imagination to try to understand. Terranigma made me feel again that feeling of imagining more than what is shown. It wasn't as strong as when I was a kid but still very present. Today it's one of my favorite video games not just for its qualities but for what it is.
Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

Blitz: The League II
user avatar@opiyyu4443rrrI am really surprised that this game has such a bad user score (6.7 at time of writing). I love this game. It is hilarious and very satisfying to play. I have a much better time playing this exaggerated version of football than playing madden, and breaking bones and causing injuries is super satisfying lol.

user avatar@my name is catteGOG, why don't you have this hot new game? You need to buy the publisher fancy dinners and do whatever it takes to get this here. Remind them there's a whole audience who won't buy it on Steam.

user avatar@angelblueGOG must release the game. At the time of writing, there is no “Sims like” on GOG. All the more reason to encourage the arrival of a Sims competitor on GOG. From what I've seen, the game looks promising. All we can do now is hope for a good follow-up in terms of updates, and perhaps we'll finally have a worthy heir to The Sims.
Doom Eternal
Doom Eternal
user avatar@ThanasysDoom Eternal came out just when COVID quarantine started in my country. I had a few days off and a horde of demons to slay. I sharpened my side blade, pumped some shells into my shotgun and the dance of death was on! There is no game like Doom Eternal. They took what was great about Doom 2016 and cranked it up to 11! Topping all the previous Doom games was an impressive achievement. Doom Eternal is masterclass. It set new standards on all fronts. Mick Gordon's music fits the game like peanut butter with jelly. Preserving this masterpiece in a DRM free form will be a gift to the entire gaming world.
Doom: The Dark Ages
Doom: The Dark Ages
user avatar@katieterk2002 Why DOOM: The Dark Ages Needs to Be on GOG DOOM: The Dark Ages is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated reimaginings in id Software’s legendary franchise. With its brutal gameplay, medieval setting, and gritty tone, it serves as both a fresh take on the DOOM universe and a return to its raw, hellish roots. A game this bold and stylistically distinct deserves to be preserved and celebrated on a DRM-free platform like GOG. GOG has become a haven for fans of classic and modern PC gaming alike, prioritizing ownership, preservation, and player freedom. DOOM is a cornerstone of PC gaming history, and each new title in the series carries that legacy. By releasing The Dark Ages on GOG, id Software and Bethesda would be giving fans the ability to truly own the game—no launchers, no DRM, just pure DOOM. Given that GOG already supports many entries in the DOOM franchise—DOOM 1, 2, 3, 64, and DOOM (2016)—it makes perfect sense to continue the tradition. With its mix of close-range combat, dark fantasy vibes, and a heavier focus on lore and world-building, The Dark Ages could attract both long-time DOOM fans and newcomers. GOG is the perfect platform for keeping that experience intact and unchained from the limitations of other digital storefronts. If DOOM: The Dark Ages truly aims to be a raw, immersive, and timeless shooter, GOG is where it belongs—right alongside the legends.

user avatar@rogerrabbit383_519I've been playing this game since the Open Beta, and the most I can say is when it is fun, it's really fun. I play the game with my partner a lot, and the best things I can say for it is in regards to the characters and gameplay. It's a little faster and floatier than Smash, to be sure, but it's also got personality due to it. I mean, after all, it's the fighting game where Bugs Bunny can drop a safe on Batman with no effs given. And I think it's why I like it so much. It was willing to take risks, even if it didn't entirely pay off. And I wanna keep that around.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir
user avatar@MekannatarryGiven that there's no pc equivalent of this game aside from emulation, this game being on GOG would be the perfect place, let alone all of the other Vanillaware games.
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
user avatar@tokshenOgre Battle is just one of those special titles that I feel should have had a major influence in strategy gaming, but never really did. The combat system in the original was very unique and made even better in this sequel due to more choices in classes, items, and I believe more monster recruitment. The story was also, I feel, far more interesting than the original (won't get into spoilers) but it gripped me from mission one. I spent hours and hours in front of my hand me down CRT TV beating this game multiple times and slowly understanding that my choices in the game effected my ending. There is a system called the chaos frame that can rise and fall depending on who your character fights, what level they are when they do the fighting and which of your units captures the enemy towns. Honestly it was frustrating when I finished my first run and got the bad ending. I just didn't understand how the hero was viewed as a villain. It was the time of the early early internet so it was a little difficult to find answers but eventually I did and that opened up a whole new way to play the game. They probably should have had some sort of tutorial about this but that was a time where tutorials were pretty rare and you just had to figure stuff out, which I appreciate a lot more as an adult. This game, along with suikoden 2, really influenced my way of approaching game development and D&D dungeon mastering. These two games showed me what a good war story is. It's not about the war itself, it is about the people fighting in it and the relationships they make with each other. It's also about having good villains and not becoming one yourself out of your desire to do good. I think about this game at least once a week and how much I wish we got a sequel or that this title was more widely available. I don't know how you would work your magic, bringing this N64 title back from the dead and putting it on PC no less, but let's make it happen!
Dante's Inferno
Dante's Inferno
user avatar@PetercageI'm honestly shocked that this game didn't make it huge. The movie and game are both incredible. It's just such an epic character who fights through hell in a fantastic game. I have it on PS3, and would be floored if I could play it on GOG.

Alan Wake II
user avatar@darthrobolI would like to play this game, but I dont have Epic Games Store account, nor will I ever. Love that GOG has Alan Wake 1, Alan Wake 2 would be great addition, so me and others will be able to play this game too.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Silent Hill
Silent HillSilent Hill is the first installment in the Silent Hill series of psychological survival horror video games. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the main character Harry Mason is an average man. The gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving. The controller vibration is used to indicate Harry's heartbeat and will vibrate on low health. The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Breath of Fire IV
Breath of Fire IV
In a far-away world, two continents float, separated by a vast swamp-land. For eons, no contact existed between the two continents because ships couldn’t sail across the expanse. At last, when the historic first contact was made between the two powers, war erupted! After long and costly fighting between the Fou Empire in the west and an alliance of countries in the east, both sides exhausted all their strength and resources. With no other alternative, the two powers agreed to an armistice. One year later, Princess Elina vanished. She had been traveling in the east from town to town, exploring battlegrounds and visiting war veterans. Her trail vanished in a small town near the front line. Nobody knew her whereabouts! The Eastern Alliance wanted to avoid sending a large army to the front. Such a move would be a political blunder, breaking the armistice and stirring up hostilities. It became impossible to carry out a large-scale search for Elina. Time passed... with no sign of the princess. Elina’s sister, Princess Nina, finally makes up her mind. She leaves on a journey in search of her sister – by herself. Ryu Ryu meets Nina while he is lying unconscious on a street in a desert town in the eastern continent. His race and native land are unknown. Ryu has a Dragon’s Eye, which empowers him with the amazing abilities to transform into a dragon and summon dragons. Nina The princess of Wyndia, a town of the Fae tribe (winged folk). Nina meets Ryu on her journey to seek her lost sister Elina. Though somewhat naïve, Nina is skilled in Healing magic. Scias A mercenary soldier, Scias was hired by the eastern side during the war. Scias becomes the party’s watcher. He is very quiet and aloof from the world. Scias can perform a powerful double attack with his sword. Cray A young leader of the Woren tribe (cat people) in the eastern alliance, Cray joins Nina to search for Princess Elina, his childhood friend. He has a strong sense of responsibility and acts as the leader of the party. His high offensive and defensive abilities are very dependable. Ershin Ershin wears completely sealed armor to protect her from any kind of curse. Since she wears the armor all the time, no one knows her real face or background. She meets the party in a mysterious place polluted by a curse and decides to join them. Ursula Ursula is a middle-class leader of the Fou Empire. She came to the eastern continent in search of dragons, and meets up with Ryu and his companions. Ursula was brought up in the military, and knows very little about worldly concerns. She is excellent at attacking with both magic and weapons. Fou-Lu Fou-lu unified the western continent single-handedly with his paranormal powers. He became the first emperor of the Fou Empire several hundred years ago. Despite his youthful look, he has mystic dignity. It is said that he predicted his own resurrection as he passed away. Here’s how we ensured that this masterpiece is better than ever and what you can expect with GOG’s version of the game: Full compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11 Both 2 localizations of the game included (English and Japanese) Improved DirectX game renderer New rendering options (Windowed Mode, Vertical Synchronization Control, Gamma Correction, Integer Scaling, Anti-Aliasing, and more) Improved audio engine (restored missing environmental sounds and audio configuration) Improved keyboard and mouse support Improved Warehouse and Crane minigames Improved F9 exit screen Issue-free battle and combo system (all crashes have been fixed) Issue-free cutscene scripting Issue-free task switching Full support for modern controllers (Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock4, Microsoft Xbox Series, Microsoft Xbox One, Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, Logitech F series and many more) with optimal button binding, vibration, hotplugging and wireless mode Let’s go back in time to the PlayStation 1 era and reminisce about how Breath of Fire IV was presented to gamers back in 2000: After centuries of war, the two lands bordering an impenetrable swampland have finally reached an armistice. Mysteriously, the noble Princess Elina disappears somewhere near the war-ravaged front lines. Distraught, her sister Nina goes in search of the Princess alone and on her journey, meets a mysterious young warrior named Ryu. Their destinies soon entwine. The next chapter in the epic tale of magic and mystery now unfolds. The fate of what lies ahead rests in your control. Ultima™ 8 Gold Edition
Ultima™ 8 Gold Edition
The Guardian has tricked you, Avatar. After you defeated Batlin on Serpent's Isle, he banished you to Pagan, a world under his control. Once, it was a beautiful land, but ever since the ancient battle between the Elemental Titans and the evil "Destroyer", it is engulfed in eternal twilight. Titans - now worshiped as gods - are cruel and uncaring. They bestow power on their most dedicated followers who, in turn, terrorize Pagan's population. To find a way back home, you need to become a Titan yourself before the Guardian succeeds in his plot to conquer Britannia--and then Earth itself. The eighth installment of the Ultima series takes a much darker tone. The story is much more mature (do the ends justify the means?) and the game focuses more on action, like climbing and jumping across platforms. Training your character has also changed: the more you use an ability, the better you are with it. Without a party to assist you, you must rely on your own strength, dexterity, intelligence, and magical abilities to save Britannia and Earth.Dark, engrossing story with a moral dilemma: will you accept evil for the sake of the greater good?Much more action-oriented than previous installments with fluent and responsive combat mechanics and new ways to explore the unknown.Living world: each inhabitant has his or her own schedule, going about ordinary business in Pagan.Includes the speech pack: some of the major game characters are fully voiced. Populous™: The Beginning
Populous™: The Beginning
Includes Populous the Beginning and the Undiscovered Worlds expansion.Shaman, the path is laid before you. Your destiny is to become a god! But it will not be easy. Not for you, and not for your followers. To become a deity, you must conquer all 25 planets of the system and defeat every other tribe and their shamans. The ultimate struggle will be a difficult one, as you build mystical cities, unleash devastating spells, harness volcanoes and tornadoes, and shape the face of the planet at your will. Remember, your apotheosis awaits! In the third part of the Populous series, you control your shaman and the tribe of her followers in a difficult quest to conquer all 25 planets of a star system and ascend to godhood. For the first time in the series, the world is presented in true 3d, which at the time amazed both the players and the gaming press. The level of control you exert over your followers also takes you to a new level: you can order individuals or groups to perform certain tasks like gathering resources, constructing buildings, or attacking your enemies.Populous: The Beginning takes a slightly different approach from the previous installments of the series but this is not, by any means, a bad thing as it kept the series fresh and innovative. It was a bold move for Bullfrog but the proof exists in the fact that, after all these years Populous 3 is still a great strategy god-game. Votes: 1150

The Suffering: Ties That Bind
The Suffering: Ties That BindThe Suffering: Ties That Bind follows in the footsteps of its predecessor by combining a disturbing horror atmosphere with action/shooter gameplay. Players can switch between third person and first person depending on their preference, and will shoot a lot of hideous demonic manifestations of evil before the game is done. The player is also able to transform into a hideous creature at key times in the game, which allows him to engage in intense melee combat. The game includes a morality system which records the player's actions during gameplay and changes the story accordingly, and also alters the player's creature form. Everything from the first The Suffering has been refined and turned up a notch for the sequel.

Wild Arms 3
Wild Arms 3The first two games in the Wild Arms series garnered attention and acclaim as they brought classic console role-playing to the original PlayStation. Though crafted in the same story-telling spirit, Wild Arms 3 (titled Wild Arms Advanced 3rd in Japan) boasts major technological improvements and a number of new gameplay elements. Featuring "stroke-shaded" animation-style graphics, a "Wild West" setting, and a completely 3D game engine (not just for battles, as in the previous games), Wild Arms 3 is designed to make good use of the power of the PlayStation 2. Wild Arms 3 features four main characters and takes the time to let players become acquainted with each of them. The "drifters" Virginia, Gallows, Jet, and Clive are four very different adventurers whose paths intertwine toward a shared destiny. Though each has his or her own personal motivations, all four seek an explanation for why the once-verdant lands of Filgaia have become dry and barren. Differences must be overcome and the characters must act in harmony if they are to truly understand the ancient mystical forces at work. As the drifters move through the desolate land of Filgaia, they are challenged with a number of mysteries to solve and barriers to overcome. The different special abilities of each character must be used to solve different parts of the game's complex puzzles. A technique dubbed "expressive communication" is designed to allow players to quickly gauge the moods and emotions of the onscreen characters. Monsters, villains, and other horrible creatures stand between the drifters and their destinations as well. The Wild Arms 3 turn-based battle system is designed to offer players an intricate level of control, allowing tactics that make wise use of the various powers and weaponry of the drifters while presenting combat with cinematic flair. Wild Arms 3 delivers everything RPG gamers expect: an in-depth storyline, puzzling dungeons & a unique battling system. Journey along with Virginia, Jet, Clive and Gallows and discover the mystery behind the Prophets to revive the memories of Filgaia. Explore dungeons to unlock secret pathways and find mythical treasures. Gun Blazing shoot-outs deliver intense cinematic battles. Wild Arms 3 embodies tried-and-true elements of a role-playing classic.

Wild Arms XF
Wild Arms XFWild Arms XF is a 2D turn-based tactical role-playing game, creating a gameplay experience somewhere between Dungeons & Dragons and chess. Players are given control of a small squad of characters (six or less) and placed on a grid-based map resembling a geographical location (a swamp, a town, a river), upon which they fight battles to progress through the game. As with most T/RPGs, positional advantage can be critical to victory, and players are encouraged to outmaneuver their enemies as well as outgun them. The game emphasizes positioning and maneuvering by the inclusion of "Formation Arts," which increase attack damage when an enemy is surrounded by your characters in a line, a triangle or a circle. Wild Arms XF is a member of the small subsection of T/RPGs whose battlefields are based around hexagonal tiles instead of squares. "Combination Arts" return from previous Wild ARMs titles, allowing characters to target an enemy in a waiting state and then deliver their attacks simultaneously with the next ally to attack their target. If the player succeeds in executing an uninterrupted series of commands, the damage inflicted upon enemies will increase significantly. On the other hand, the enemy gets the same advantage.

Wild Arms 5
Wild Arms 5Developed for the 10th anniversary of the series, Wild Arms 5 follows a group of young travelers as they fight for their dying land. Players guide the rag-tag bunch of heroes through a 3D world full of adventure and combat. While jumping, sliding, and stomping through the environment to complete the main objective, gamers can also engage in mini-games and side quests for money and rare items. Although the story revolves around new characters, the HEX battle system returns and several known avatars make cameo appearances during the game. Duel-pistol wielding skills make their debut in Wild Arms 5, and allow gamers to shoot different bullets that solve puzzles located throughout the adventure.

MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat
MechWarrior 2: 31st Century CombatYou are the genetically engineered Clan Mechwarrior. The Clans are invading the Inner Sphere. Join either the Wolf Clan or the Jade Falcon Clan as they pursue their own agenda against the Inner Sphere and other Clans. Take your advanced Omnimechs into battle against all comers. Win high warrior ratings (by using less mechs or smaller mechs than needed, completing secondary objectives, etc.) and you'll get chance at a promotion trial where you face superior odds in an arena. If you win, you advance in rank. If you are very successfully, you can make it all the way up to Khan, leader of the Clan! Mechwarrior II was developed in-house by Activision as the successor to their original Mechwarrior. While this time there are no dynamic campaign and mercenary actions, the Clan culture is integrated into the two campaigns. Different clans have different mechs and different rules, even different weapons. You can customize your mechs in order to use less than the "par" force in order to get a higher rating. The full 3D environment wasn't pretty as this was before the 3D accelerators made their debut, but it's still better than anything that came before. Let addition of NetMech allowed users to fight each other online. When 3D cards came along, special versions were created to take advantage of 3D texturing. While not QUITE as replayable as Mechwarrior, it's nonetheless a classic. If you want them now, get the Titanium Edition, which is 3D accelerated.
