rewsan: The 1st time they met was in The Library (in the Doctors time line anyway) and this episode started in a museum.

Also, in "Silence in the Library" she mentions something along the lines of "Have we done Byzantium yet?" and this weeks ship name is The Byzantium.
And she now asked if they did the Boneyard or somesuch. :D

I didn't like the Dalek episode much, the acting was off and the story had some annoying holes in it, most notably the fact that

The Doctor must have known the Daleks were going to blow up the professor anyway, so he should not have called off the attack. It's even more annoying because it has such profound consequences.

Looking forward to last and next episode though. The trailer actually already had my girlfriend hiding behind a pillow :D
EDIT: oh, and thanks to those suggesting old episodes to watch. I've bookmarked this thread for future reference :)

I'm just halfway through the latest episode (I say halfway because I was watching it on the bus on my laptop :P) and I quite like it. Yeah, so the episode isn't exactly doing anything new TBH but isn't that what Doctor Who is all about? IIRC it's a two-parter so I can't wait to see what happens next.

Me neither. Next week looks pretty cool (although the Doctor is using the "NEVER INVOLVE SOMETHING..................................................................................................... .....ME" way too much).

Aliasalpha: I'd recommend the following episodes:
The Dalek Invasion Of Earth
Tomb Of The Cybermen
The Claws Of Axos
Genesis Of The Daleks
Warriors Of The Deep or Ressurection Of The Daleks
The Two Doctors or Attack Of The Cybermen (attack & ressurection are linked by a guest character)
The Curse Of Fenric or Silver Nemesis or Rememberance Of The Daleks

I'd add
The Daleks
The Wargames
Terror of the Autons
Deadly Assassin
sometimes i wish Cartmel had got to finish his masterplan the virgin books carry it on to some degree but it would have been nice to have it as cannon and removed some of the inconsistancies in the back story

I love the new series... it's more like the classic show, less like the very Buffy-esque soap opera the first four series could often be.
The last episode was a bit slow, but I have loved them all on average. Lovely to see the Silurians back though, and pseudo-Valeyard the episode before.
My favorites of the classic series are: Tomb of the Cybermen, The Invasion, Frontier in Space, The Ark in Space, Genesis of the Daleks, The Caves of Androzani and Remembrance of the Daleks. Favorite new series story would probably be The Waters of Mars, despite what I said about the tenth Doctor era that is one amazing episode.
My favorite era all together is Pertwee's plus the first few years of Tom Baker's. Late Tom Baker is downright terrible though, more often than not.

Neil Gaiman is writing a Dr Who script? I...there is a god! :O
I just wanted to say that Chris Chibnall did a magnificent job with The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood. That is all.

I know Murkia is a few weeks behind, but didn't you see the 1st episode where Dr meets her as a child? Skip 10 years, and it#s the eve of her wedding....he makes an actual appearance a few episodes later,
