The woman was still completely unlikable for me though. I didn't emphasise with her at all.
It will be interesting to see how things will be tied with the ring that "Who's Rory?" left on the Tardis.
Good news everyone! The first Doctor Who game City of the Daleks is available for download now link
Of course if you are outside the UK you are shit out of luck as we have to wait and see how much the BBC are going to charge us for it.

I don't in any way condone this, but over at Rock Paper Shotgun they have the solution for you ex-empire folks...

At least when taxpayers in the US subsidize a game, it's legally free for everyone. Of course, the games our government releases generally aren't worth paying for anyway.

Funnily enough, that is the first thing I found too. Getting my usual UK/Europe based server download speed too.
Well the first game was fucking awful. It's not enough that they make you sneak around everyone but then you get shite puzzles as well. True it's free but still.
Vincent and the Doctor? Magnificent.
You now realize that even after such an emotional revelation that Van Gogh will still cut off his ear and commit suicide.

Well yes that was the whole point of the episode.

Indeed. That stealth crap is way too annoying. I pretty much gave up. Not sure if I'll even bother with the second one. And to think, they actually want to charge non-Brits for that. It's a shame, as I'm sure those involved in this game could have done a lot better if they hadn't decided to try making an edutainment/casual gaming hybrid using gaming mechanics which didn't work all that well when first used a decade or so ago.

Yeah, great episode. The part where the doctor is all twitchy was hilarious, Bill Nighy was great, and they managed to capture the nature of depression pretty well, given the little time they had.
EDIT: oh, and pronouncing the gh in Gogh as the gh in laugh? Really?! Well, it's not that strange, considering the spelling, and being fussy about the pronunciation of names in different languages is kind of pointless, but it made me laugh nonetheless :)

I thought the controls were very console friendly. I wouldn't be surprised to see them flogging it on the consoles as well. Sad fact is it will sell because of the name alone.
I enjoyed the episode tbh I wasn't really expecting much given it was written by the guy behind that abomination of a film Love Actually. The acting was good and was very emotional when they took him to the gallery.
Top TV and nice to have an episode without a crack although I was half expecting one to be in one of the paintings at the end.
