Aurum potestas est.

The Guild Gold Edition + The Guild 2 + The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas, the entire collection of the fun and complex medieval European dynasty sims, including two titles released today, is available bundled 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours!

Europe, 1400 A.D. - The last crusade, which started 6 years before, ended in a horrible defeat when the crusaders failed to conquer Nikopolis before being reached by the armies of Osmans and Serbs. The dream of conquering Jerusalem is forgotten, and European authorities are well aware that over the coming centuries, they will be submerged into defending themselves against the Osman forces, which have several outposts in Eastern Europe. The Roman Catholic church is in a state of devastating dispute and intrigue, and uprisings are clearly just around the corner.

The Guild Series Bundle brings two new titles to GOG.com. The Guild 2 is a unique mixture of RPG and life simulation in an immerse middle ages scenario. The player and his party become part of history and can even change it in real-time. Go back to the dark middle ages and found a new dynasty. Take care of yourself, because your opponents never sleep. Marry a beautiful wife and make new friends; control your life. Hand down your skills and your descendants will greatly appreciate it. The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas is a stand-alone expansion that transforms the game into an even greater experience by adding a huge area including the cities of "The Hanse" located at the shores of the European seas. Sea battles and naval trading are added to the gameplay, and a new campaign mode provides more than 10 hours of additional fun.

For the next 72 hours you can transport yourself into the European middle ages and start your very own dynasty of money-grabbing power-mongers with The Guild Series Bundle, for only $11.97. The games are also available separately, for $4.99 each. Titles already owned count towards the bundle completion and the higher discount rate. The offer lasts until Sunday, March 2, at 10:59AM. After that, the series receives permanent 20% off discount for those getting all three titles.
Looks interesting and my type of game, haven't heard much about them...I guess it's time to dive into some reviews! I do like Nordic Games in general...
Hmm, I have mixed feelings on this release.

While I'm super excited to see these games come to GoG to be added to "The Guild" collection, I'm worried since IIRC they're still buggy. I've only played Renaissance recently and remember how many bugs/problems that had. I think these games might be a pain for GOG to have. :/
Just my opinion to share.
I check many forums and found that Renaissance is the best for Guild 2 according to many fans (more jobs despite no having tutorials like in Guild 2 ) and community patch is still a must to at least reduce some bugs.

Hmmmm not sure if this is my type of game..... maybe i need to try it.
I remember vaguely reading somewhere Renaissance is the one to get of all these?

Which ones of the ones on offer should one get if trying this type of game? :)

Will wait for Venice, Renaissance and 75% bundle sale (as they were on shiny loot last(?) week) and have been on GG number of times. I suppose GOG is reserving the two for future release days...

tburger: It's not my cup of tea but some GOGers will be happy about this release... Also thumbs up for day 1 discount.

With all this fuss about regional pricing, AAA games, accusations about giving up on core values etc. I was hoping GOG will try to counterbalance negative emotions and cheer us up somehow by releasing a bunch of oldies..Well maybe next week...
well Summoner is kind of old isn't it?

Well, there are 14-year-oldies and 20-year-oldies. I assume he refers to the second category.

I have the first one but haven't played it yet. That would not normally stop me buying the sequels with a good discount but the mentions of bugs makes me wary. On the other hand I remember how buggy Fallout New Vegas supposedly was and I found it perfectly playable. I did encounter bugs but nothing that really hindered my enjoyment of the game.

ThomNG: Enjoy this new GOG experience on The Guild franchise :) Have fun with The Guild 2 and Pirates of the European Seas!

Greetings from the Nordic Games office!
Why is the german language pack missing in this release? :(
That doesn´t make any sence! It was a german game, why can it even be not in there?!
What's that metal band with the pirate songs?

And how piratey is the pirate one?

Alfie3000: What's that metal band with the pirate songs?
Running Wild.
I hope the missing German language pack for the German Guild games will not be a bad omen for upcoming release of Titan Quest. I hate the way Greek Mythology names are pronounced in English. :(

(Zeus sounds like the creator from "The Grinch"...)
Yay, own the first one so this is right in my price range.
Now for some shopping therapy, to take the mind of recent events.
german game and no german language.... again :(
it is annoying that this happen to every multilanguage game on gog which is older than 5 years

Of course it is (likely it will disappear from my wishlist on weekend:-). But it is just 1 game. For all this gloom and doom on forum I was hoping for sth like DANG! We give you 4 Microprose/Tommo games.... AND MANUAL FOR COVERT ACTION ;-P
