Aurum potestas est.

The Guild Gold Edition + The Guild 2 + The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas, the entire collection of the fun and complex medieval European dynasty sims, including two titles released today, is available bundled 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours!

Europe, 1400 A.D. - The last crusade, which started 6 years before, ended in a horrible defeat when the crusaders failed to conquer Nikopolis before being reached by the armies of Osmans and Serbs. The dream of conquering Jerusalem is forgotten, and European authorities are well aware that over the coming centuries, they will be submerged into defending themselves against the Osman forces, which have several outposts in Eastern Europe. The Roman Catholic church is in a state of devastating dispute and intrigue, and uprisings are clearly just around the corner.

The Guild Series Bundle brings two new titles to GOG.com. The Guild 2 is a unique mixture of RPG and life simulation in an immerse middle ages scenario. The player and his party become part of history and can even change it in real-time. Go back to the dark middle ages and found a new dynasty. Take care of yourself, because your opponents never sleep. Marry a beautiful wife and make new friends; control your life. Hand down your skills and your descendants will greatly appreciate it. The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas is a stand-alone expansion that transforms the game into an even greater experience by adding a huge area including the cities of "The Hanse" located at the shores of the European seas. Sea battles and naval trading are added to the gameplay, and a new campaign mode provides more than 10 hours of additional fun.

For the next 72 hours you can transport yourself into the European middle ages and start your very own dynasty of money-grabbing power-mongers with The Guild Series Bundle, for only $11.97. The games are also available separately, for $4.99 each. Titles already owned count towards the bundle completion and the higher discount rate. The offer lasts until Sunday, March 2, at 10:59AM. After that, the series receives permanent 20% off discount for those getting all three titles.

Wolfsherz: Beware, do not buy!

This deal is just plain stupid. Why you ask?

The Guild Gold Edition is just fine.

But for Guild 2 you do not need to buy The Guild 2 AND Pirates of the European Seas. All Content from the main Game is INCLUDED in Pirates of the European Seas. Also keep in mind, that the latest Guild 2 Addon is Renaissance, which is not on GOG.

As for this being a german game and GOG not including german language version (again): Shame on you GOG!

My decision to buy elswhere in the future just got fortified.
Haven't you read the post by the "nordic games" maintainer? The plan to add a German language pack asap.
Is the content really included? Then I bought a game for "free". xD

The Guild 2 is completely included in The Guild 2 - Pirates of the European Seas? Can anyone else confirm that?

JudasIscariot: Regarding the German language version, we actually will be adding it. ThomNG of Nordic games just gave us the German versions of the games today, including The Guild Gold, and, barring any technical issues, we will be adding German to all three of the games :)

See Thom's post here:

It brilliant when a publisher shows they care. Well done Thom and the Nordic team!

JinseiNGC224: snip.
I don't feel I played it long enough or recently enough to give an adequate review. I also don't plan on buying the GOG version for a good while, my wallet is waiting and ready for Dragonfall later.

In my opinion with a game of this type where you can play it so many ways and do so many different things, you gotta forgive some bugs. Maybe the way the current low scoring reviewer played the game he encountered every possible bug, while the way I played I never ran into any issues. But to me it read like a rage review from someone that bought it at release and was disappointed by it's state and never really gave it much of a chance after, which I can understand, but that makes me totally disregard the review.

I bought the Jagged Alliance - Back in Action remake/reboot/whatever after a few months of patching and when it was on a massive sale, disregarding the all the reviews about how buggy and crappy it still was, and had an awesome time with it and didn't really encounter any problems at all.

There's so many wildly varying opinions and misinformation about games nowadays you just gotta take chances based on what you think you'd enjoy.
Where's the Renaissance version, ie the only version worth owning *slash* working?
I definitely can see how some may like these. I'm not interested myself though. That said, I'm very likely to pick up Summoner before the week is through. :)

fortune_p_dawg: Titan Quest & Darksiders please!
Plus RF Guerrilla & Armageddon. ;) (I figure it may be just a matter of when for those)
The offer lasts until Sunday, February 2, at 10:59AM
Time travel?

JinseiNGC224: There was a comment a bit back where someone requested TItan Quest in a thread and ThornNG (from Nordic, no less) responded by saying "maybe February would be a good month if everything goes right". Thus far they've released SEVEN games in February, not even including Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past from January. Titan Quest is the last hinted game not to be released :)

I'm staying hopeful, even if not in February! We could use a good mythological hack n' slash RPG!

Though I do expect something else to appear today, such as the Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall expansion at the very least (according to their main site).
Wouldn't surprise me, but it's already available DRM free elsewhere, so I'm not sure why I should buy it here when they do release it.
Is this game region priced? I'm in the US so I can't check myself.

No it isn't. ;)

I have to say that's a pleasant surprise. I honestly expected GOG to start selling everything with regional prices now that they have promised even the classic catalog will be region priced by the end of the year...

ThomNG: We have not expected so many requests on the German language but as they have occured, as, followed after that, also GOG asked us if we can't add them and as we understand the wish that especially on a German game German language should be there, we just send the German language packs for The Guild 1 Gold, The Guild 2 and The Guild 2 Pirates of the European Seas over to the GOG team. As long as no technical issues are occuring (especially on Guild 1 Gold in terms of compatibility with newer OS etc.) I am expecting them to be added soon.

Greetings
Thanks, that's good to hear! :)
Vote for the remaining stand-alone expansions of The Guild 2 now!

ThomNG: Enjoy this new GOG experience on The Guild franchise :) Have fun with The Guild 2 and Pirates of the European Seas!

Greetings from the Nordic Games office!
They are completely DRM-free builds ? or DRM stripped with cracks ? I want to know this :) I have already on Steam but if they are real DRM-free builds I will buy again in the future :)
Going to be keeping an eye on these... Bought the first Guild a good while back, and have YET to play it. Once I know what that one is about I may give this one a go.
