Aurum potestas est.

The Guild Gold Edition + The Guild 2 + The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas, the entire collection of the fun and complex medieval European dynasty sims, including two titles released today, is available bundled 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours!

Europe, 1400 A.D. - The last crusade, which started 6 years before, ended in a horrible defeat when the crusaders failed to conquer Nikopolis before being reached by the armies of Osmans and Serbs. The dream of conquering Jerusalem is forgotten, and European authorities are well aware that over the coming centuries, they will be submerged into defending themselves against the Osman forces, which have several outposts in Eastern Europe. The Roman Catholic church is in a state of devastating dispute and intrigue, and uprisings are clearly just around the corner.

The Guild Series Bundle brings two new titles to GOG.com. The Guild 2 is a unique mixture of RPG and life simulation in an immerse middle ages scenario. The player and his party become part of history and can even change it in real-time. Go back to the dark middle ages and found a new dynasty. Take care of yourself, because your opponents never sleep. Marry a beautiful wife and make new friends; control your life. Hand down your skills and your descendants will greatly appreciate it. The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas is a stand-alone expansion that transforms the game into an even greater experience by adding a huge area including the cities of "The Hanse" located at the shores of the European seas. Sea battles and naval trading are added to the gameplay, and a new campaign mode provides more than 10 hours of additional fun.

For the next 72 hours you can transport yourself into the European middle ages and start your very own dynasty of money-grabbing power-mongers with The Guild Series Bundle, for only $11.97. The games are also available separately, for $4.99 each. Titles already owned count towards the bundle completion and the higher discount rate. The offer lasts until Sunday, March 2, at 10:59AM. After that, the series receives permanent 20% off discount for those getting all three titles.

BenZ2k3: german game and no german language.... again :(
it is annoying that this happen to every multilanguage game on gog which is older than 5 years
I wonder how they made contracts at this time? You get the language, I take the manual and the box, the game itself so far as Greenland is concerned belongs to....

Here the special thing is that you can still buy the games boxed comparably cheap (or even a tiny bit better even) in your own language on amazon marketplace for example.
I wonder why the base game and the expansion are offered separately, while e.g. DotEmu always had the "Gold" version? Or are there some other Guild 2 expansion packs that might be incoming too?

(Not sure though if DotEmu simply slapped the base + expansion together and called it Gold?)

While playing catch-up with DotEmu, how about Cossacks 2 next? I'm all for GOG making their series complete, even if I might have some of the games elsewhere already.

ThomNG: Enjoy this new GOG experience on The Guild franchise :) Have fun with The Guild 2 and Pirates of the European Seas!

Greetings from the Nordic Games office!
Thank you! I'll score it today for sure!

I just looked up info on this game a couple days ago. I noticed there was another 2010 update called "The Renaissance". Is this an up date you guys could add to this copy in the future? It's listed on the games main site (if this is the main site:

http://www.theguild2.com/

EDIT: Two others before me asked about it I guess, and also about Venice. Two more things to look forward to in the future, maybe!

Bless you guys, seriously.

When everyone else seems to be abusing GOG as some kind of last-ditch effort to wring the last drops of profitability out of a title, Nordic Games seems is putting in remarkable effort towards getting all its games here.

You guys have become one of my publishers of choice, second only to CDPR.

Blessings for the release of a German game without German language? That seems a little bit overstated in my eyes... ;)
Hmm, I already have complete collection in English on DVD, and including Venice and Renaissance. I would only think about buying multilanguage version.
Would be nice if they had demos on all new releases like they did with Defender's Quest. That was fun.

RS1978: I hope the missing German language pack for the German Guild games will not be a bad omen for upcoming release of Titan Quest. I hate the way Greek Mythology names are pronounced in English. :(

(Zeus sounds like the creator from "The Grinch"...)
Unless the game is actually voiced in Greek every pronunciation will be wrong ;) So, pick you poison.

From DotEmu's game description:

"The Guild 2 - Gold Edition is a pack including The Guild 2 and its addon The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas"
Exactly what GOG has released today, but there are also 2 more expansions; Venice and Renaissance.

In classical Greek, please! It's a matter of habit as well, and since Nordic Games owns both English and German language versions there seems no acceptable reason why we should'nt get the German one. (I own it already on Steam, but I would prefer to have it as DRM-free installer here on GOG.)

Titan Quest is coming to GOG? Interesting! And I'd love to play it in German, so I'll hope along with your hope.

Well, it's certainly a promising start anyhow...

To my knowledge there isn't any real reason why the German pack for The Guild 2 shouldn't be here. The game was developed in German, and the English localisation (or at least part of it) was passed on to an external agency - don't ask how I know this. So theoretically, if there are any rights problems, it should be with the English version.

Titan Quest is another problem entirely. I don't know who translated it into German, but there was obviously a rights problem big enough for the English-language version to be excluded from German users on Steam.
Never actually played any of these, even though they sound to be just the games I'd like. Always when these gets mentioned a word "buggy" gets brought up as well, maybe thats why i haven't bothered.

I would imagine it'll be sold as a Standalone. I'm pretty sure it is.
