Aurum potestas est.

The Guild Gold Edition + The Guild 2 + The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas, the entire collection of the fun and complex medieval European dynasty sims, including two titles released today, is available bundled 60% off on GOG.com. That's only $11.97 for the set of three for the next 72 hours!

Europe, 1400 A.D. - The last crusade, which started 6 years before, ended in a horrible defeat when the crusaders failed to conquer Nikopolis before being reached by the armies of Osmans and Serbs. The dream of conquering Jerusalem is forgotten, and European authorities are well aware that over the coming centuries, they will be submerged into defending themselves against the Osman forces, which have several outposts in Eastern Europe. The Roman Catholic church is in a state of devastating dispute and intrigue, and uprisings are clearly just around the corner.

The Guild Series Bundle brings two new titles to GOG.com. The Guild 2 is a unique mixture of RPG and life simulation in an immerse middle ages scenario. The player and his party become part of history and can even change it in real-time. Go back to the dark middle ages and found a new dynasty. Take care of yourself, because your opponents never sleep. Marry a beautiful wife and make new friends; control your life. Hand down your skills and your descendants will greatly appreciate it. The Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas is a stand-alone expansion that transforms the game into an even greater experience by adding a huge area including the cities of "The Hanse" located at the shores of the European seas. Sea battles and naval trading are added to the gameplay, and a new campaign mode provides more than 10 hours of additional fun.

For the next 72 hours you can transport yourself into the European middle ages and start your very own dynasty of money-grabbing power-mongers with The Guild Series Bundle, for only $11.97. The games are also available separately, for $4.99 each. Titles already owned count towards the bundle completion and the higher discount rate. The offer lasts until Sunday, March 2, at 10:59AM. After that, the series receives permanent 20% off discount for those getting all three titles.

jamyskis: Titan Quest is another problem entirely. I don't know who translated it into German, but there was obviously a rights problem big enough for the English-language version to be excluded from German users on Steam.
The Steam shop page stated Nordic Games as publisher for the German version of Titan Quest and I can change my game language between German and English as well (bought from German Steam shop a few years ago). As far as I know, the German version was slightly censored, so I assume that could be the reason for differing versions on Steam.
No German, no buy!
Thank you to gOg and Nordic for the two new-old DRM-free releases.

Grargar: Exactly what GOG has released today, but there are also 2 more expansions; Venice and Renaissance.
Ok, in that case it makes sense for GOG to keep them separate.
Nice, would check them out but I'm confused about the missing german pack ... what a mess of the publisher?!

Alfie3000: Thanks! I remember the Under Jolly Roger song and Port Royal. Now to find the discs.
Good band. "Death or Glory" and "Branded & Exiled" make regular spins on the turntable, and "Under Jolly Roger" is a must when I break out the Pirates! floppies.
Waiting for Titan Quest now...

Yes, yes... YES !

Isn't The Guild 2: Renaissance supposed to have everything in it that 2, Pirates and Venice had combined?
The bugs are fixed? No? Then keep it. That bug hell is not worth $12.

JinseiNGC224: Thank you! I'll score it today for sure!

I just looked up info on this game a couple days ago. I noticed there was another 2010 update called "The Renaissance". Is this an up date you guys could add to this copy in the future? It's listed on the games main site (if this is the main site:

http://www.theguild2.com/

EDIT: Two others before me asked about it I guess, and also about Venice. Two more things to look forward to in the future, maybe!

Pheace: I would imagine it'll be sold as a Standalone. I'm pretty sure it is.
I'm fine with that, though I do wish there was a way to "stack" games from the same series so they take up one less spot on my shelf. But either way works out.

RS1978: I hope the missing German language pack for the German Guild games will not be a bad omen for upcoming release of Titan Quest. I hate the way Greek Mythology names are pronounced in English. :(

(Zeus sounds like the creator from "The Grinch"...)

vonFreiwaldau: Titan Quest is coming to GOG? Interesting! And I'd love to play it in German, so I'll hope along with your hope.
There was a comment a bit back where someone requested TItan Quest in a thread and ThornNG (from Nordic, no less) responded by saying "maybe February would be a good month if everything goes right". Thus far they've released SEVEN games in February, not even including Spellforce 2: Demons of the Past from January. Titan Quest is the last hinted game not to be released :)

I'm staying hopeful, even if not in February! We could use a good mythological hack n' slash RPG!

Though I do expect something else to appear today, such as the Shadowrun Returns: Dragonfall expansion at the very least (according to their main site).

GamersGate says it's a standalone expansion. And Shiny Loot lists it separately from The Guild II.
I think I'll try not sucking so much at #1 before I give this a go. See you all in ten years. :D

Thank you for your information, I missed that. Even if it's not released in February, it is good news indeed :-)
